what happened to Stastny in round 3? He seemed invisible after being an unstoppable force against Nashville. The Knights really neutralized the second line, they were completely powerless.

I thought so too. Should have been a delay of game. This nonsense has been going on all year where the ref has to go and grab a list and force the coach to put players back on the ice, leading to game delays after icings which are just as good as a time-out. The whole point of leaving players on the ice after an icing was to penalize the team for icing the puck. If Gerard Gallant just pulls his guys off after every icing and forces the ref to bring people back on then he should be nailed for that. It's bush league. Especially when the guy who iced the puck is on the bench. That's not a misunderstanding. That's cheating.

4 power plays today, didn't score on any of them, and we lost by one goal. In the playoffs you have to score on the power play or you lose. Getting through Nashville was a real drain. I wonder how that series would have gone if Vegas had to play Nashville and we had to play San Jose in round two.

yeah actually that's pretty funny. This is also a year where I won't really be watching or caring about the draft given we burned our first rounder, not that it was going to be high pick anyway. a little hard to pin this loss on Bettman. Vegas worked their butts off. They really seem like the team to beat in these playoffs. I don't know how I got talked into ignoring them in my pool. They've got all the elements, speed, goal-tending, defense, and a fourth line bunch of grinders that just go out and punish. I don't think Tampa will be able to stop them either. Remind me of the LA Kings back when they were good.

Great season, but glad the suffering is finally over. Watching those last four games was the equivalent of getting a colonoscopy during a root canal. Back to the drawing board. Good luck Vegas, you guys earned it.

we'll do the same thing we've done since 1991 with the Bombers. When the season finally ends, once again without a cup, we'll cry a little, we'll sigh a little, and then we'll look back on how much we were entertained and look forward to the next year with hope and good cheer. That's how you have to roll as a Winnipeg fan.

having organized a few trade shows in Vegas, I can tell you that the Teamsters there are some of the laziest people I've ever met. Really hard to get anything done on time. And they have all the power, because if you try anything to go around them you are basically screwed.
