  1. If Appleton can be the next Sean Tallaire look out.
  2. I am a big "no" on Plekanec. He plays so soft he makes Enstrom look like Shea Weber.
  3. I realize this is the Beaverton, but it's hard to laugh when what this is based on is so ridiculous... Indian PM promises to dress up like a Mountie, bring a convicted FLQ terrorist the next time he visits Canada DELHI – Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi plans on reciprocating Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s efforts at embracing culture by dressing up as a Mountie and inviting a convicted terrorist the next time he visits Canada. “I look forward to dressing myself and my family in large Stetson hats, a scarlet uniform, and yelling ‘yeehaw!’” said Modi at a press conference with Trudeau. “I will smile and pose for the cameras, and ride a horse through Parliament as per the Canadian tradition.” Modi explained that he intends on donning plaid and a toque pretending he was a lumberjack cutting down a mighty redwood in a pristine Canadian forest. “And, of course, I will dress up as a hockey player even though I plan on visiting in the middle of the summer,” added Modi. “That’s strange, eh?” At that time, the press conference was temporarily interrupted when Trudeau attempted to demonstrate his bhangra, which only ended when members of the Indian media asked him to stop. When questions resumed, Modi was asked if he will bring friend-of-a-friend and convicted FLQ collaborator Jacques Rose to his Indian delegation when he visits Canada. “Absolutely. I heard from one of my cabinet ministers that Jacques has some real insight into Canada and some strong opinions about the direction of the country.” According to sources, India will host a 3-day festival celebrating Trudeau’s departure the moment the Canadian leader’s plane leaves Indian airspace.
  4. And so I think we all learned a valuable lesson from this: "Don't recycle".
  5. Dion Phaneuf - leader extraordinaire.
  6. I was thinking back to my high school days (getting harder to that as the years go by) and what my teachers were like. Other than my Grade 9 home room teacher, who was a big hunter and outdoorsman guy, I wouldn't want any of those teachers to be carrying guns. They would have been a complete disaster. It was actually laughable to even think about.
  7. I am sure the feeling is mutual.
  8. Carrie Underwood is never going to allow that to happen.
  9. I'd like to see him in Anaheim. But that's just because Anaheim are a bunch of d-bags.
  10. Hey we also ended up with Hall of Famers Chad Kilger and Per-Anton Lundstrom in that deal.
  11. I was laughing at this last night - Moir looking pretty drunk and yelling at the refs. Can't get more Canadian than that.
  12. The US at that time expected another war with England (they were right as it happened in 1812) and so wanted to make sure everyone had a gun. Those days are long over.
  13. Good job Canadian women! Five in a row is a tough one. You didn't make it but you sure gave it all you had. Congrats to the USA.
  14. or as a third line guy on the Team USA Olympic team in 2022 in Beijing.
  15. I prefer "pee-pee soaked heck-hole".
  16. I'm not so sure that's a bad thing. Look at Edmonton signing Lucic - so glad we missed out on a "top" free agent there.
  17. We got Kulikov. That was a pretty good FA signing.
  18. I remember John Ferguson always being frustrated by the NMC's back in the 1980's. He wanted Chris Nilan in Winnipeg so bad, but he wouldn't move.
  19. we are trying not to. He's on the Alouettes neg list so I thought it would be interesting to talk about his potentially coming up to Canada as he can't get a sniff from anyone in the NFL, and I am curious to know if it's because he sucks or what the crap is going on. I did make the mistake of bringing up his kneeling which triggered a few people and I shouldn't have done that.
  20. Hard to argue that one. Ok, so the prevailing hypothesis is that Kaepernick is good and should be in the NFL, but is being punished for kneeling. It would be interesting if he came up to the CFL to play, that's for sure. I did see something about Baltimore wanting to sign him and then pulling out. Might have been "fake news". http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/baltimore-sports-blog/bs-sp-ravens-ray-lewis-colin-kaepernick-20170905-story.html
