  1. oh ok. Haven't seen Sheif's new hair. Speaking of which - apparently last year when Laine changed his hairstyle it was front-page news all over Finland. I kid you not.
  2. I liked what Huddy and Flaherty did too. True maestros last night.
  3. spoiler alert? I am still in the middle of season 3.
  4. in a way, we are all winners.
  5. Surprised that they didn't keep Stanley around for practice, to save money on pylons... Good to see Foote make it. Sure would have loved to have seen him in a Jets uni some day.
  6. eye condition or no eye condition, no reason to bag on the CFL to seem cool. Yeah, the CFL has some issues. And yeah, there are improvements to be made. But with the limited resources everyone has to work with, it's an amazing product. And the people who work their butts off to make it that way, usually for pretty low pay and out of pure love for the game, don't deserve some elitist bonehead trashing them on a Sports show just to kow-tow to misguided corporate policy. It was with much satisfaction that I cancelled my Rogers cell phone account this year. Trash the CFL? Not getting my business.
  7. Bring back Jason Boltus and Max Hall and it's deja vu all over again.
  8. Love the Melch! Go hit somebody Melch!
  9. Bellfool might be a decent stop-gap until they find someone who knows how to run an offence. He will get every QB in Montreal killed next year though.
  10. Yet watch them turn it around in one season and win the 2018 Grey Cup, while we go on to rebuild year 29 and counting.
  11. seems to be the trend in US politics - the two houses usually flop over to whatever party doesn't control the White House. Case in point during the Obama years, the Dems ending up losing both houses to the Repubs.
  12. Well we can agree to disagree. Doesn't Little have some history playing with Wheeler? Would Wheeler be cool with losing his meal ticket Scheifele and being moved down to the second line?
  13. Fahrvergnugen
  14. I am intrigued by what Copp could do with Laine and Ehlers. Move Little down to the third line, he's having a pretty brutal year.
  15. What does 1st overall get you anyway? Home ice in the final round of the playoffs? Right now all I care about is getting to Round 1 of the playoffs. Vancouver for many seasons ended up 1st overall (because they got to beat up on Calgary and Edmonton every year) and then crapped the bed in the playoffs most years, and ending up with crappy draft picks. I don't see the need to finish 1st over all other than for bragging rights, which really mean nothing.
  16. right, the Admirals are from North Haverbrook.
  17. at least now that pressure of competing with TB for first over all is off now....not that it was ever there in the first place except for one posters' insistence that it be a thing. As for Buff, he hasn't been right for a few games now. Watching him huff and puff out there last game before the injury was painful.
  18. is that the Shelbyville Admirals?
  19. ja wohl. Du sagst die Wahrheit.
  20. Edmonton apparently needs a goalie, maybe we can work out a deal where we unload Little too and big up Roslo? Not sure who we'd want from Edmonton though. I don't think they'd part with Poolparty and everyone else there is grossly over-paid.
  21. LOL - hey we have a goalie who just passed concussion protocol! What do we do? Let's fire pucks at his head in the morning skate! I still remember reading Don Cherry's book and how Hilliard Graves was always shooting pucks at the goalies' heads in warm-up because he had no control of his shot. I laughed because I remembered Graves played for Winnipeg and how much he stunk when he played for the Jets.
  22. which Jets are we talking about here? Because I don't remember any playoff runs. As for Vegas, yup, time to put an adult in charge of the millennials and get a lot more professional. I still don't get what they were doing picking on the CFL.
  23. Definitely will be a statement game as to what this team is really about. Last night was a classic Jets game (last two games actually) - get down early and then play from behind. That's a pattern that ends up in defeat a lot.
  24. Fun fact - Brie Larson's grandparents lived in St. Boniface.
