  1. Fun fact - Brie Larson's grandparents lived in St. Boniface.
  2. Also helps to have a Baron on your ownership team.
  3. and Kadri is a Muslim. So what?
  4. ha ha yeah I saw Comrie following the team in to the locker room the other night and I honestly thought that was some teenage kid they were allowing to sit on the bench in goalie gear for some reason. Then I saw "Comrie" on his back and started laughing at my own stupidity. The CR I was drinking at the time probably also weighed into it...
  5. not sure I get what this means....
  6. Bill Baker - from Sherridon Manitoba. I know him personally and I agree, he's a hard guy to like. Great football player though. Ok - back to the left/right bickering. I will just add that I don't see how it helps to make all of this rape/sexual harrassment stuff political (I am trying hard not to do that myself) or about religion. It seems more about a culture that needs to be changed. I honestly don't understand what goes on in the minds of Roy Moore or Anthony Wiener, or what kind of perverse power trip you have to be on to text under-age girls pictures of your junk. It makes no sense to me. But clearly there is a problem, and we can only hope that the next generation figures this crap out. Because it has to stop.
  7. I thought James Reimer was from Arborg?
  8. That's a nice caddy!
  9. Shoot for Reimer's glove hand! Unless he's improved a lot. Haven't seen him play since he left the Leafs.
  10. I think Nick Nolte would look good in Blue and Gold again. Even with a nutjob as a HC in 2009 he still put a pretty good D on the field.
  11. and he's got confidence. Pretty big intangible all good goalies have to have.
  12. Dave Randork is pretty hard to listen to too.
  13. ok I'm not going anywhere near this one. I will say that at first I didn't get it, but she's grown on me a lot. Also, given there are a lot of girls playing hockey now, and watching hockey, I don't see why they can't have a voice of a female commentator on at least one broadcast a week. Maybe I'm getting soft in my old age...
  14. I will agree with this totally. I really enjoy watching them at the Olympics.
  15. It's the CBC though so to be "progressive" they have to have a woman on at least one CBC Hockey broadcast. By your parameters the only woman qualified would be Manon Rheaume, (sort of) who by the way I am still very much in love with. So anyway, if we have to have a woman on the CBC doing hockey broadcasts (and to be fair, lots of girls play hockey now, so why the hell not?) then Cassie is about as good as it gets in my opinion.
  16. Amazing how smart you are when you have a super-rich grandpa and dad. But yeah, I think you nailed it.
  17. Not sure what gang you are referring to. I guess I'm not hip to the Winnipeg scene anymore. But I used to go to Warrior games in the 1980's, before they moved to Moose Jaw. Here was their logo: Not sure it would have been acceptable in this new enlightened day and age. There also was a Warrior team from 1955-1961. EDIT - I was right. http://www.rodpedersen.com/2014/04/warriors-logo-found-offensive.html
  18. This is the question the Arizona Coyotes should have asked before hiring John Chayka.
  19. iheart is female? Hmmm....guess that makes sense.
  20. I know some here say that Myers plays soft and there is something to that, but it was nice to see Myers give Brassard (I think) a wet glove to the mush after he was getting a little too pokey in front of the net with his stick. Good to see some of Buff's meanness starting to wear off.
