  1. typical Buff night. My favorite part was the Little goal - Little scores, then before he can really celebrate he turns and sees several Minny players jumping on Ehlers and so just plows into the pile in defense of his team-mate - now that's hockey!!!
  2. Got to get pucks deep! Give 110%! Backs against the wall. Cycle the puck down low and get it to the net!
  3. ok, that kind of clears it up I guess.
  4. not so embarrassing to lose to two such legendary teams....
  5. beauty short-handed goal by Roslo. There's got to be a way to get that guy up in the bigs, he's really looking good out there.
  6. how did Mason get a concussion? Was it on that slap shot to the head from Jannick Hansen? If so I put that a bit on Laine, I don't know what he was doing on that play but he just put the puck right on Hansen's stick.
  7. even sweeter was beating Dieter. I know over the years the hard feelings have mellowed and Dieter is back in the Bomber family but at that time the feelings were still pretty raw and bruised regarding how Dieter left, and the things that he said about Winnipeg. One of my fondest memories of a Bomber game was in 1984 during the season when Dieter came back to Winnipeg and we all chanted "Brock Busters!!" every time the announcer would put on the Ghostbusters theme, usually after yet another Dieter sack by Tyrone Jones. Man those were good days.
  8. ha ha yeah I know the feeling bro....
  9. We capitalized in 88 and 90 as we were in the East at that time.
  10. it had only been 3 years since our last Cup victory at that point (we won in 84 and Gray's INT was in the 88 Grey Cup). Where's Jacquie our fact-checker to verify?
  11. what stands out to me from our 3 GC wins were the defensive plays. Stan Mikawos rumbling down the field for the TD after Ty Jones big hit on Dieter Brock caused a fumble in 1984, Michael Gray with the interception on Matt Dunigan on the 2 yrd line in 88 to turn the tide and seal the victory, and Greg Battle returning the pick six on Tracy Ham in 90. Good times.
  12. 1984. It was epic due to such a long drought. The next GC win will be even bigger. Hope it's in my lifetime.
  13. ok - not my preference but ok...
  14. why are you thankful you don't have to work on Fridays?
  15. yup he set up the Lowry goal with a great pass into the slot.
  16. Guy I know who is close with coach Mc says that there is a lot of resentment in the room with Dr. Drai and McD getting the big bucks this off season. If true, hope we don't see that in Winnipeg when Laine cashes in.
  17. and Simon Cowell.
  18. First win in franchise history in LA in regulation! I will post this as Frosty seems to have gone AWOL:
  19. Mason looking strong! Reffing pretty suspect tonight. Hope Buff takes a run at that Fantenburg jerk.
  20. All right, I'll give you that. I shouldn't tar all of Toronto with the McCown *****-bag brush. Everyone - if you are ever in Toronto, make an effort to meet Bluto. He's one of the guys that makes the CFL great all across Canada.
  21. yeah I agree. I thought we dumped Thorburn to make room for younger guys to move up, and instead we just went out and got Thorburn 2.0. Get Roslo and Perrault together and let them make some magic.
  22. Was he with Anaheim last year? I took him in one of my playoff pools and he never saw the ice all playoffs. I thought that was kind of weird.
  23. I was watching that show on Sportsnet with that weird guy that wears sunglasses (McKown or something is his name I think) and he and his panel of dudes were totally trashing the CFL. They were basically saying that the CFL wasn't good enough for Toronto, because they get teams like the Yankees and Lakers coming through, so why would they watch the "Saskatchewan Roughriders" - one of the only times I actually felt some sort of anger about hearing the Riders disparaged, and that was when I realized I despise Toronto ******-bags even more than combine jockeys, I guess. I realize that it was a Rogers TV station and Rogers sucks but that was just ridiculous. Sports guys trashing the CFL, in Canada. ******-baggery to the extreme, but soooooo Toronto (sorry Bluto, just too much experience with that "we're better than everyone else" attitude I've seen far too much from Torontonians).
