  1. Comrie? Lol or Jamie Reimer. Pretty slim picking. And Cale Makar too. Who would Nylander from T.O. play for?
  2. On that first goal, not sure what Samberg was thinking putting a soft pass right up the slot. I thought we coached our D men to NEVER do that, unless you have a guy who is VERY open. We just handed them that opening goal, but tightened up after that, good to see Vilardi with the magic hands setting up that Scheif goal.
  3. Sure wasn't me. The only thing I could think was that now with Wheeler gone and the dressing room issues seemingly dealt with perhaps Patrik would want to come back here? Who knows. With the way he's playing I don't even want him here right now. He's got to get his head on right. Or just go back to Finland and go win a few World Championships with Poolparty. What a waste.

  11. This whole Corey Perry/Connor Bedard story really is getting weirder by the day....rumors on Twitter that he hit on Bedard's mom? I don't know. What a way to end a career anyway.... Blackhawks say Corey Perry engaged in unacceptable conduct and move to terminate his contract CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Blackhawks said Corey Perry engaged in unacceptable conduct and took a step Tuesday toward terminating his contract, the latest twist involving the veteran winger who was mysteriously scratched and sent home last week without explanation. The Blackhawks in a statement said an internal investigation showed Perry acted in violation of his NHL Standard Player Contract and their club policies "intended to promote professional and safe work environments." Chicago put Perry on unconditional waivers and said his deal will be terminated as long as he clears Wednesday. The team has not given any indication as to what Perry did to warrant these actions. General manager Kyle Davidson on Saturday said Perry would be away from the Blackhawks for the foreseeable future. “It’s been a team decision so far to hold him out, and that’s about all I’m able to provide,” Davidson said at the time. Davidson is set to address Perry's situation at a news conference Tuesday afternoon. Agent Pat Morris did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment on the Blackhawks' intent to terminate Perry's contract. Over the weekend, he said in a statement that Perry had stepped away to attend to personal matters. Perry, 38, signed a $2 million contract with Chicago for this season with $2 million in potential incentives. An 18-year veteran known for his leadership, the Peterborough, Ontario, native won the Stanley Cup with Anaheim in 2007 and became the first player in league history to reach the final three consecutive years and lose each time with Dallas, Montreal and Tampa Bay from 2020-22. The Blackhawks brought in Perry and fellow forwards Taylor Hall and Nick Foligno to surround No. 1 pick and 18-year-old face of the franchise Connor Bedard with experienced players who could show him the ropes in professional hockey. Perry is on his way out of the organization after 16 games, while Hall is out for the season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn ACL in his right knee. 12. I guess all of that house hunting in Hamilton during Grey Cup was enough for Walters to decide "what the hell was I thinking...I better unplug from JBR and stay in Winnipeg".....
  13. 4 out of the top 5? Which 5 are those? Darian Durant doesn't have more cups than Kenny Ploen....
  14. Glad to see Herb has so far survived his bladder cancer and is still fighting. He's a good writer and the CFL needs all the good writers it can get.
  15. This is why I just stay off of social media. My dopamine hits come via CR, not social media lol.... At least for the Als parade they probably will have a big turnout as that city appreciates a winner, and they only have two professional teams. So much better than the fake Toronto parades where everyone is standing on the street dazed wondering who these players are and what sport it is that they play. I would hope that the new owners, who have deep pockets, will build off of this fluke of a win and do something about their home stadium. Percival Molson was built 110 years ago. The ownership has to decide if they want to keep playing in an antique of a stadium or go back to the "Big Owe" where you just don't get the same atmosphere unless you can attract at least 30 - 40,000 fans, and that stadium is also falling apart due to the corruption of the 70's in Montreal and the inferior materials used to build it. Either way, time to tap into some serious government money and get some infrastructure built/refurbished in Montreal. Same with Calgary.
