  1. called Shaw support with a question and ended up talking to a guy in Montreal, who gave me a new remote and then talked about the Canadiens for around half an hour. Now you know why you wait on hold for hours. Anyway, the guy said that his buddy had once been to Roy's house and it was full of pictures and statues of himself. Gives you an idea of the ego on this guy. He also said that Roy is gunning for the Montreal job and if the Canadiens go in the tank he will be lobbying the GM hard to fire Therrien. Interesting perspective.
  2. This would indicate that Pedersen knew the Riders were utilizing non-roster players in contravention of CFL rules but chose not to report that information. To assert Mitchell and Dunk, reporters working for competing news organizations in different locations would fabricate similar stories is laughable. Toronto Star reporter Chris O’Leary also tweeted that he’s heard similar reports about extra players being paid and housed. Even without other journalists corroborating Dunk’s report, his work is strong enough to stand on its own. http://3downnation.com/2016/08/16/pedersens-criticisms-dunk-unfair-unfounded/
  3. http://www.cfl.ca/2016/08/16/riders-acquire-veteran-dbs-bennett-hecht-from-stamps/ Looks like the Riders need to make room for two roster spots.
  4. I was at that game! Kito Poblah dropped a sure TD in the end zone! Not that it would have mattered anyway...
  5. happy b-day Bob. You are legitimately the only bigger Bomber fan on this earth other than me, and you've been a huge part of my Bomber experience since 1977 when I went to my first Bomber game. You rock buddy.
  6. Looking at the historical data, I don't believe that this is correct. The Stampeders definitely took Mike Labinjo in the third round in 2003, but no where do I see that that pick was originally Winnipeg's. More-over, it seems strange that Calgary would accept a draft pick in 2003 for a player whose rights were being sent over to Winnipeg in late 2000 or early 2001. Now if you look at the 2002 CFL draft, Calgary drafted Oosterhuis in the first round with Winnipeg's original pick. Using logic, I would assume that this was the actual pick that Calgary got for Brown, and it would jive with the memories of a lot of people here. What was especially humorous was that we ended up getting Oost after Calgary cut him in 2002, which meant that we got our first rounder pick (assuming we would have taken Oost) and therefore Brown for essentially nothing.
  7. at least he acknowledges his ignorance. The Bombers could trot out 100 non-rostered players for a full practice in front of Wiecek and he'd be completely oblivious, and never once even admit he should have known better.
  8. I had to watch that hit on Shaw a few times that resulted in the first Fogg interception. Quite the explosion - helmet, mouth guard flying everywhere. Haven't seen that kind of Bomber football in a long time.
  9. Paul Bennett?
  10. yet the way we've been winning games lately I've been transported back to those glorious 1980's years. Still waiting for a Ty Jones like star to arise on D, for now I am thinking Westerman is as close as we've got.
  11. yes I found myself thinking that the other day too - Royal Blue = finally on the road to recovery after wandering in the wilderness since 1991.
  12. weird though that he would just take off on the Jets like that. Without even saying good bye. Not a good sign.
  13. Bye week so excuse me for digressing...but you brought up Norm....
  14. Bilukudi for Burris - straight up! We need some humility on this team!
  15. Easy come easy go anyway, the Riders blow
  16. what I find hilarious is that the Rider fans actually believe that they are so important to the league that they should just be able to get away with anything and everything. That is just so delusional.
  17. any interest in Ernest Jackson? Drew Willy's former Buffalo target?
  18. So you think you can insult me and spit in my eye???? Oh baby, can't do this to me babyJust gotta get out just gotta get right outta here
  19. You should be planning the Grey Cup parade right now.
  20. Jeffrey Orridge has a fine put aside for me!For me!!!!For me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. I remember someone saying that Kris Adams is a guy they've been working on for two - three years as well. So far, I'm not seeing what the scouts are seeing. Helps to have Bond beside you. That's for sure.
  22. March 9, 2016 WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the club has signed International offensive lineman Travis Bond. Bond (6-6, 329, North Carolina, December 10, 1990 in Windsor, NC) was drafted by Minnesota in the 7thround of the 2013 NFL Draft. After spending time on their practice roster, Bond also was with Carolina and St Louis from 2013-2015. He played in 51 career games for North Carolina over four seasons, starting 29. Looks like we couldn't have gotten Bond up here any quicker. He had to make sure his NFL career was over. Kind of like Mulumba and Bilikudi.
