yup. Endured an entire Rider gaggle that congregated at the pool at my resort in Maui a few years ago, all gathered around a laptop so they could listen to Rod Pedersen's broadcast online. They also all showed up with their coolers full of beer etc bought off the resort, so not only did they chase away all of the customers spending money at the resort buying drinks, but they didn't buy any themselves from the resort. And they had to mount a stupid Rider banner as well. All to show their reverence to their team, in a foreign country, where no one knows or cares who the Riders are. This disaster was a long time in the making, and sure looks good on these watermelon heads.

If you believe the hype though, the Rider fans firmly believe that they also drive up attendance across the league as they have such strong fan bases in other cities. This can be supported by the fact that when you watch a Sask-Calgary game for instance, half the stands are green even if the game is in Calgary. So the thinking is that the fans punish the CFL by just not attending Rider games on the road. Which is a stupid theory, but it is what it is. I went to a Jets/Coyotes game and a Cardinals/Seattle NFL game in Phoenix in early January and there were people in Rider jerseys at both games. Who wears a Rider jersey to a hockey game????

can't wait, though watching Calgary today I don't think they are going to lose another game all year. Good coaching, good D, good O, good ST. Good everything. They are essentially unbeatable right now, kind of reminding me of the 1981 Eskimos.

You forgot Crapigna (that name is so bad it seems mean to make fun of it. Also kind of redundant) crapped the bed and pulled a Westwood with the game on the line, as well as missing two other FG's. This year, our outstanding kicking is winning us games, instead of enduring years of losing games due to our terrible kicking. Remember Alex Serna? Rob Pikula? Also - I haven't seen anyone making fun of the 13th man penalty Sask took. I was laughing - how awesome was that.

re-watching the game, what the Riders really should be kicking themselves over is the fact that they tackled Harris with two seconds left. If they had just let him run three more steps, the game ends and we are in OT. I couldn't believe the Bombers let the clock tick down that close to the end, by doing a clock-chewing running play with only a few seconds left. That last run by Harris could have easily extended and then on to OT we would have gone, and with the way the Bomber D was playing we'd probably have lost. All the Riders had to do was look at the clock, let Harris get past the first line and then contain him, even if it meant tackling him on the five yard line. Suck it up Riders on the supposed bad call, you still had a shot at taking the game to OT if you had been a tiny bit smarter and taken advantage of bad clock management by the Bombers.

I was thinking that I would have liked a blow-out win in Mosaic, but this kind of win was almost sweeter. Now the Riders can blame conspiracies instead of their own shittiness for why they lost. It's far more painful. Now lets blow em out at home and put the dagger through their black little hearts.

Andrew Harris should have been a star in this game, not sure why he didn't see the ball more. Especially when Sask is starting a guy who hasn't played in 7 years at Nose tackle. Should have just let Bond steamroll him all night and Harris pick up the easy 5 - 7 yards on every down. I hope they rectify this for the Banjo Bowl.
