  1. What was the size of the payment the Hamilton TC's made on their stadium this year? Ottawa Red Blacks? Given the state of the Ontario debt situation the Ontario taxpayers could use some payback on their infrastructure investment. How much are the Riders kicking in on their new stadium? Just curious.
  2. Hawerchuk scored goals that were unbelievable. Doan is above average, but that's it. There is no comparison between the two, really.
  3. Yeah I was freaking out! I thought I had been banned! I did check Twitter and even sent a message. From now on please let us know as I was forced to revisit the "other" site just to read about the Bombers and get my fix. Please don't make me do that again!
  4. KBF here reporting live from Phoenix. Will be in attendance tomorrow at the game. Flew down this morning with a plane load of Jets fans out of Vancouver. Should be a good crowd!
  5. http://www.winnipegsun.com/2015/12/23/santa-rises-from-ashes This is why I still believe. 25 years and counting.
  6. Here's a tidbit - Ladd's boat was stolen this summer in Kelowna (like 50% of the NHL they live here in the off-season). Not sure if it made the news back in the Peg.
  7. Ok now Hrudey won't stop talking about how much Scheifle sucks. And how perfect the Flames are.
  8. I had to buy Center Ice to get all of the Jets games in Kelowna so I am being force-fed the Calgary feed. Seems a lot like the Jets -Leafs game in that all Kelly Hrudey can talk about is how much Trouba sucks, Stuart sucks, Hutchinson sucks etc. Man I hate these games where I don't get Beyak and Hnidy...
  9. currently the Arctic sea ice extent is 89,000 sq miles bigger than the lowest ever recorded extent in 2006. So it's not shrinking, at least not in a linear fashion that a lot of the alarmists would have you believe. And also bear in mind, that the Arctic sea ice has only been measured for 34 years of the entire history of the planet, so it's not exactly a big sample size. And that of course doesn't even include in the discussion the fact that the Antarctic sea ice extent is the largest ever recorded in the history of recorded extents, going back to 1979. https://www.nasa.gov/content/goddard/antarctic-sea-ice-reaches-new-record-maximum Of course, in the article, the fact that the Antarctic sea ice is growing is spun by NASA as "expected" under global warming, just as Leonard Nimoy would have told us in 1978 that it was expected as part of global cooling.
  10. In a related story, the Bombers have hired Stephen Harper as media co-ordinator.
  11. I heard he was playing injured.
  12. Yeah it was playing on Bogo's off side that made him "slip". If you believe that one I've got a bridge here in Kelowna to sell you.
  13. Kathleen Wynne, one of Trudeau's biggest cronies, sure enjoyed jetting back and forth between Paris and Toronto for the big party over there...
  14. Really? And are Western governments dumping billions upon billions of dollars into "fighting" evolution too? That's my real hang-up here. Whenever I get into a discussion with anyone who is really sold on the "consensus", it doesn't take long to get into name-calling etc. This thread has been surprisingly civil, at least, until WBFB decided to up it a notch. Anyway, like I said, my hang-up is that for years now we seen all of these catastrophic predictions and nothing has come true, yet billions upon billions of dollars continue to be diverted from so many other good causes and into "fighting" this mysterious affliction, that any day now is coming, just you wait. Why is there no accountability for those who predict these things, cause billions of dollars to be diverted, and yet their predictions are false? Why?
  15. Look, you can be a giant jerk here, that's fine. You are just like every single other warm-monger I know, who just twists words and then calls you names if you dare disagree with the bogus "consensus". What I said was that there have been zero predictions about man-made climate change that have come true. Zero. So why is that if the "science" is so solid? That's all I said. I didn't mention evolution or gravity, so why even bring them up?
  16. What was their record if they scored more points in the first and second half?
  17. Except that Miami was supposed to be under water several years ago, and it still hasn't happened. If the science is "solid", why has every single prediction made by said "science" been dead wrong?
  18. Johnzo, that's a great comment on Conrad's piece and I want to tell you how much I appreciate it in that it shows that you actually read it and have an intelligent response that I respect, instead of just taking the easy way out and making some snide remark about his past. Thank you, I appreciate it immensely.
  19. The sun will explode, regardless of human intervention. We all accept this is true don't we? Seriously, what's your ******* point? I think it's pretty obvious what his point is. We know the sun is going to explode, but Al Gore isn't printing billions of dollars selling people "sun explosion credits", and Canada isn't blowing millions of dollars sending 380 Liberal cronies to big parties in Paris to celebrate sun explosions. That's the point.
  20. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/video/blue-jackets-make-johansen-a-healthy-scratch~772201 Wow. Johansen a healthy scratch. Think Chevy can swing a deal for Johansen? He's a great player.
  21. LOL - every forum I posted this article on, there was always a guy that played this card, and always a leftist AGW fraud proponent. What is it with you guys? You can't handle what he is saying, so you just attack the guy instead? Shame.
  22. I support rocket launchers for all, including kids, but I draw the line at nuclear missiles. Those should only be given out to Iranian Islamic dictatorships. At least, that's what Obama told me anyway.
  23. In other news, Alberta rednecks plan to hold a Sunday prayer meeting, picnic and lynching for newly elected Premier Rachel Notley. For someone who is still being referred to as "newly elected" she's sure done a ton of damage to that province. I can't even imagine what the next 3.5 years holds in store for the poor Albertans. If they really are serious about ousting the NDP, it's time to start the recall campaign, and time to send the Starbucks baristas scurrying back to their mommy's basements where they belong, instead of creating horrendously stupid government policy.
