I think this issue has proven more than that, namely that Trudeau is a giant hypocrite. Which should be a surprise to no one.
-
On Global National last night they reported that most world leaders showed up in Paris November 30th to pose for photo ops, and then left on December 1st, leaving the policy makers to hammer out an agreement. Not so with Sunny Family - they are apparently there until they feel like coming home.
-
and why are they both female? It's 2015 Justin.

We will see. I personally am loving it, watching all of the cry-babies now being forced into defensive mode. By that logic... does this make you and TUP the cry-babies now? Serious question, because that seems to be where your logic is taking us- other shoe and all. Edit: To be clear, I am not calling you two cry babies- you have valid concerns that you bring up- just your logic dictates that you might have inadvertently labeled yourself as such. LOL - I guess it does, if that's where the logic takes you. I am just surprised that all of the prior cry-babies that screamed constant blue murder about Harper are remaining "mum" on this subject. You honestly can't tell me that if this was Harper, getting elected on a platform where he scorned any rich people receiving benefits, and then accepting taxpayer cash to fund his child care, that you guys would just do this silent routine and shrug. No way in hell would you guys be doing that. So what gives? Are your political convictions really more important then your actual convictions?

If it's Islamic fundamentalists shouting "allah Akbar" we'll have to wait for someone other than the mainstream media to let us know.

The hypocrisy is more than interesting. It is stunning. But completely expected. Also to be expected, all of the anti-Harper faction to remain silent and just lump it, even though if it had been the other way around, they would be screaming for blood. Politics, in general, makes everyone into hypocrites, eventually.

When is JT back from his Paris climate party? He's got to get the wife and kiddies home too, as they all went to Paris with him on our dime, along with the nanny. He's far too concerned with the climate change fairy tale, and giving away control of Canada's economy to EU bureaucrats to be worried about nanny-gate right now. I would expect that he will hope that this whole thing blows over, and if not, Plan B, start paying for the nannies, then back-door expensing them back to the taxpayer.

Yeah these were my thoughts exactly. For 10 years all of the anti-Harper crew had it easy, just take whatever decision he made, or action he took, or word he said, and spin it to the negative, and if that failed, just make **** up and say that, and they were rarely challenged on it, or called out for out-right lying. It was a great job. Now the shoe is on the other foot. For four years (or more) all of those whiners and criers now have the difficult task of being on the defensive instead of the offensive. Not quite so exhilarating. Especially when the guy you are defending is known to be extremely gaffe-prone, and not really that politically astute. Welcome to your new role, defenders of the indefensible. How does it feel?

The plot sickens. Looks like the two nannies were being paid for by Trudeau personally, and now that he is PM he has moved their expenses to the taxpayer. AND it looks like Justin is paying them less than minimum wage. Yikes. http://ottawacitizen.com/news/national/trudeau-hires-his-childrens-former-nannies-to-work-in-official-residence

I just read that both nannies are female. I thought it was 2015.

I didn't realize that the management of the Jets was a democracy.

This is the first negative story I've seen in the media about Trudeau, in like, ever (other than Ezra's stuff). I wonder how "open and transparent" his government is going to be to the media if these kinds of stories keep popping up about him.
-
Agreed. Ofcourse. But it still rubs me the wrong way. Seems stereotypically elitist. Id feel that way of it was Harper. What does his wife do? Isn't she home from a recent birth? I wonder how the regular public manages to raise their children without two nannies. Well they do travel a lot. Has Trudeau been home more than 3 days since the election? Seems every time I see him on the news he is posing for selfies with adoring fans in either Turkey or Malta and now at the big Climate party in Paris. He probably needs a travel and stay at home nanny, depending on if the kids are coming. Like I said though, I don't begrudge him the cost. But I also didn't begrudge Harper the costs of bringing his own limo when the RCMP told him he needed to for security reasons.
-
I honestly don't begrudge Trudeau this cost, but on the other hand, did anyone expect him to back up his words with personal action? That's like asking David Suzuki to sell off one of his four houses.

Rogers Center is going all in on baseball I think. what else do they have? -
You lost me here. The home team is a huge factor. The 2011 Grey Cup was sold out because the Lions were in it. I know because I saw about 30,000 fake fans show up for the game decked out in orange, who probably hadn't been to a game in years. The Cup last year wasn't sold out because the Lions weren't in it. It wasn't "trendy" to be there so the fake fans didn't show up. I was in Abbotsford a few weeks ago having lunch with a guy, and he has Seahawks and Canucks season tickets. Almost everyone in the restaurant that he knew also were Seahawks season ticket holders. When I asked him if he went to any Lions games he just laughed at me. It's not "cool" to say you are going to the Lions game I guess.

Wow... That is kind of awesome. Not really. No NDP governments anywhere would be more than kind of awesome, it would be fantastic.

The Liberals in BC and the Sask Party in Saskatchewan are defacto Conservative governments. I expect the Conservatives and Wild Rose to merge under the Wild Rose banner in Alberta to wipe out the New Dumbs in the next election, if Notley and her gang of tax and spend loons even make it to the next election before there is a recall.

Apparently BMO is going to operate with 17 yd. endzones, 3 yds shorter than regulation. and to placate the Toronto FC soccer fans, several times during the game Argo players are going to fall down and start writhing like they've been shot, then pop up again and walk off the field under their own steam. -

IT'S HERE! Grey Cup Game Day Thread

98(also here) was the lowest since 75. There were 3 factors for that. -brutality of the 91 game's weather had fans across that league saying fool me once.. -major price increase -we sucked as a team....again Those fans concerned about the weather only fooled themselves as it was record warmth that day. The '98 Grey Cup was the regarded as the Grey Cup no one wanted. The league was still somewhat in dire straits, not near the depths of 96, but only a smidgen higher. Winnipeg stepped up when no one else really desired to have the Grey Cup. It was also a period when the Grey Cup did not sell out with regularity. 96 in Hamilton - well short of a sellout despite Tim Hortons stepping up to buy thousands of tickets at the last minute. 97 in Edmonton - I remember there was over 10,000 tickets available leading up to the game which mostly sold out only because the Riders made the finals. 99 in Vancouver - 15,000 short of a sellout 2000 in Calgary - a few thousand short of the sellout. It also didn't help that the city hosted the Brier, World Junior Championships and the Pan Am Games along with the Grey Cup in just over a year. Individuals and the corporate community were tapped out. I was at the Grey Cup in 1999 in BC - total joke. So many empty seats. Friends of mine drove out from Calgary last minute and bought tickets at the door for $25 a piece, or something like that. I remember looking at all of the empty seats and feeling embarrassed, and wondering if this great league would survive. I also was wondering when I would see a Blue Bomber Grey Cup victory again. 16 years later, not much has changed.
