The NDP here in BC tried the same campaign in 2013. Every time you asked the NDP why I should vote for them, I'd get something like "CHRISTY CLARK SUCKS!!" or something similar. I'd say, ok, no argument here, but other than that, why should I vote NDP? And I'd just get this confused look, like they hadn't really thought that far ahead. When you don't give people reason to vote for the devil they don't know, they chose the one they do know.

I wouldn't say that. I'm too polite to be boastful. LOL - thanks for that, good belly laugh.

Was he also flabbergasted when people told bald-faced lies in front of him, and almost no one disagreed with it, or attacked the guy that pointed out the lies? Just curious if indeed, this comparison is relevant.

Your comment about "shy Tories" and how they affected the polls in England really made me think of all of the people that have told me this election "I'm voting Conservative, but don't tell anyone", including this morning. It makes me wonder how many people are in that same boat. I look at all of the personal attacks made on the two of us here, and it really is a reflection of why people are downright afraid to speak up anymore unless they say they are voting Liberal or New Dumb. It's not worth the aggravation and the insults. Just quietly vote Conservative, and move on, without having to be yelled at by imbeciles. Are you really quietly moving on though? You have so many posts like this, where you insult people with differing opinions, yet you are surprised and upset and you get attacked in return. You could have made the exact same post without the insults and it would have carried a lot more weight. Yes I am quietly moving on though. And if I insulted anyone with differing opinions, I roundly apologize. If anyone here who posted blatant lies feels insulted because I called them a liar, I say too bad - you need to accept the consequences if you want to post lies. As for the being yelled at by imbeciles, I wasn't referring to anyone here (though I see now that it could be taken that way). I was referring to other boards and Facebook pages I've been on, where the negativity and the anti-Harper stuff is just off the charts. Sorry if I offended you Bigg Jay. haha this is like when you tell a significant othe that "I'm sorry you feel that way" should have saved the keystrokes. Glad I didn't, as I was actually talking to Bigg Jay. Bigg Jay - did I waste my keystrokes? I hope not. I will say this, you and Sweep sure are much smarter than me, that much I've learned from this election. You guys know everything, no doubt about that.

Edmonton Oilers LOL (perhaps Calgary Flames LOL)

You hire a coach who is brain dead and makes playing hockey terrible for these guys that's what happens. Seriously Yakupov considered quitting because of Dallas Eakins. Now that they've flushed that turd and the turd that hired him things are going to improve and the bitching and moaning from everyone about the draft picks is going to be fun to watch. Yup, I see now the Oilers have put together the pieces to start a long dynasty run, kind of like how they looked in 1980 when Gretzky was just getting going. -
That is correct......When is the last 5-13 team to make the playoffs lol. *Sidenote: Mtl plays Sask last game of the season. I can see Mtl winning that one so we need to get one win in there! In 1993 and 1994 Ottawa had back to back 4-14 records and made the playoffs both times. That was before the crossover rule came into effect, however... yeah Jacque Climie was talking about that on the sideline during the game, and how he was a member of both of those teams.

Nice. What a dumb thing to say. I can't wait for this **** to be over. Hard not to hold grudges after this with all of the stupid things we've said about each other, all because of stupid politics.

I just can't watch this enough...so hilarious...

Loved this so much... The last five minutes was kind of dumb. Mike Myers! What the hell!

I liked the burn on the NDP candidate who displayed ignorance on two levels - one she didn't know what Auschwitz was, and two, she doesn't know what a penis looks like. LOL
-
Of course it was a full page advertisement. But why let that get in the way of self-righteous anger and a good blather about media impartiality. I saw a Harper ad during Hockey Night in Canada, so that must mean that the CBC is supporting Harper.
-
What burns me is that my tax dollars go to the CBC, and there they are, kissing the ass of leftist scumbags like Suzuki. It was so awesome when Suzuki got burned on Australian national TV, by their state broadcaster, and made him look like the massive fraud he really is. It's too bad our state-funded channel is dedicated to propagating the myth that he is some sort of super-star. He isn't. But anyway, I wanted to address this topic that TUP brought up: I think we may have a lot of "shy Tories" in this election, that told pollsters what they wanted to hear, but will realize when they get to the booths that they want the devil they know. Just looking at how anybody who remotely expressed any support for the Conservatives was roasted on here, and on other forums I visit, I wouldn't doubt that a lot of people are just saying what people want to hear, to avoid having some anti-Harper loon blow up in their faces with their self-righteous anger about some idiotic topic like "Harper cut health care by $36 billion" etc. In my case, my Conservative MP is a dufus, and so it will be really hard to vote for him. I still, honestly haven't made up my mind, and won't until I hit the polling booth. I think there a lot of others just like me out there today.

Have you never watched the CBC?
-
This sounds like a case almost as open and shut since Lionel Hutz sued the author of "The Never-Ending Story".
-
while I agree with the message, I don't agree with the way it was presented. I would have made the message even simpler "If you vote NDP, you need to have your head examined."
-
Didn't the Red Star endorse Trudeau? EDIT - just saw the graph. Sorry.

And William Lyon Mackenzie King employed a full time psychic so he could talk to his dead mother and dead dog. Lots of weird stuff goes on in Ottawa. John Diefenbaker had jowls like a basset hound. We've had some strange looking PMs too. Sir John A was a raging alcoholic who could stand up in the HOC & give 12 hour speeches during filibusters with the aid of alcohol. It was the 1800's. Everyone was a raging alcoholic. What else was there to do? I have no idea. I heard that MacDonald would start speaking sober then have a bottle of whiskey beside him & start sipping... He gave some of his best speeches drunk as a skunk. Imagine no professional sports teams to cheer for, which means no Bombers, no Jets, no Blue Jays. Your job of menial back-breaking labour is so unsafe you will probably die doing it. No TV. No radio. No Kardashians telling us all how to live. No video games. No microwave burritos. No sci-fi. Books have to be read on paper. You are lucky if you live past 50, and if you do, you probably spend the last five years in agonizing pain praying to die. People rarely bathed so the smell of BO would have been over-whelming, all the time. Yeah, thanks to electricity and petroleum products providing mankind with cheap energy, we have it a lot better than they had it in John A's day. I don't wonder for a second why they were blasted all day every day.
