Though that would guarantee another four years of a press that rolls over and lets the president stroke their belly rather than ask any hard questions or do anything to embarrass the leader. It's been 8 years now of just softball questions for the current president and its time that the press in the US got some balls again.

Yeah O'Shea does come in with a lot of the same answers to questions. One guy I listened to did nail him though, and said that he had called in last week and told O'Shea that Winnipeg hadn't won in Edmonton since the Milt Miracle, and then when O'Shea was being interviewed on TSN he told Dunigan before the game on Saturday that he wasn't aware of Winnipeg's losing streak in Edmonton, so the caller said "Don't you even listen to what the callers are saying?" I think the answer to that is obvious.

Yep he acknowledged that Marve moves the ball, but Brohm plays within the system. So the coaching staff prefers someone who obeys orders over winning. According to that caller he said "All Marve does is move the ball" and O'Shea agreed. Why the hell isn't that the main criterion? ARGHHHHHHHHH

I did listen to the last question - once again a caller asked why the hell are you still playing Brohm and why don't you give Marve a chance - answer was that Marve needs to learn to play "in the system". The system sucks MOS.

Well they do try to get at least three calls in over the hour between commercials, the news, sports, weather and nonsense. The only way I can listen to the show is to listen to the archive so I can fast forward through the junk to get the 12 minutes of actual coach's show.

My guess, and it's purely a guess, is that Brohm performs his reps well in practice, interprets the game plan and has good rapport with the coaches. Then game time comes and reality hits. Richie Hall's scouting defense may have to turn it up a notch. Give Brohm a Watson jersey and have him go one on one with Dan West.

It was actually Dunigan on the colour, and it was something like "if Winnipeg wants to run the ball here, they should probably take a look at the nine guys that are standing on the other side of the line expecting it to come." Then Matt went ape-**** going on about how great the Edmonton defence pounced on Cotton. Of course they looked awesome. They knew it was coming and there weren't enough blockers to counter-act the rush. A five-year old would have seen that that play wasn't going to work. And what's frustrating is that we do this, over and over again. No adjustment. No learning. Just repeat and fail, repeat and fail.
