When did Calgary ever have a dynasty? The Als from 2008-2010 maybe but I wouldn't say Cal has ever had one. The Flutie/Garcia/Dickenson years might qualify as one, but you know what I mean.I'd say the 70s Eskis and the 68-72 bombers count as dynasties. When u can constantly win cups and if ur not winning them your on the door step. Calgary has had success on and off but not for long periods IMO. I think you are a decade early on the Esks and a decade late on the Bombers.

I was at this game. The Lions actually brought my father-in-law and I down to field level for warm-ups before the game so we could be on the field. It was all part of the Lui Passaglia thing when Lui came to the hospital to cheer up my father-in-law after his liver transplant, and promised that we could go down to field level when my father-in-law was feeling better. It was very classy of Jamie Taras and the Lions to do that. The one thing I noticed was how huge almost all the players are. Anyway, it was fun for me to watch Fred go nuts on the Lions, not so much for my father-in-law. That TD Reid scored that got called back for illegal substitution was all Wally. The refs hadn't noticed that Reid had only been out for one play, and it was Wally who called them over and complained. I couldn't blame him for doing that, but the game was well over by that point. I just remember thinking "what a jerk, just let him have the record". Oh well, he got it anyway.

The entire o-line has once again been a steaming pile of hot garbage. It is hard to pick between Greaves, Picard and Neufeld right now, though I think Chungh is starting to also show his rookie-ness. I wish we could find four decent NI OL (including an NI tackle). Other teams seem to be able to do it. Why can't we?

Hutch should have got game 4. What could it have hurt. I think its the style the whole team plays. You hit and grind everything its gonna come back to bite ya. I'm somewhat surprised that a lot of MBB peeps have given Copps the 4th line center job after playing only 1 reg season game. Who do you think is better suited for that job right now? How many other centers do the Jets have in the system that are ready to make the jump?

Which is why when he was holding the cup on center stage I had to think it was all about politics and not about actually being a fan. But who knows. I'd like to see him work to help out the Flames and Stamps with better infrastructure, since Edmonton is getting a new arena. Mcmahon is rapidly becoming the shittiest stadium in Canada, and will win the title as soon as Regina's stadium is done. We'll know more tomorrow about that, apparently......big announcement about the proposed new facility (joint Flames/Stamps project) tomorrow... Ok great. I didn't know.
