  1. Edmonton and BC should be fighting it out this year for the cellar, and Montreal is trashed. The Bombers, if they can stay healthy, and that O-line can keep dominating, should be looking good for at least a cross-over this year.
  2. CFL News @CFL_News Medical tests confirm extent of QB Mike Reilly’s knee injury. Est. recovery time is approx.10-12 weeks http://bit.ly/1GX2gxc #CFL #Esks
  3. You missed him going offside! I like him on the roster though. Was that him? I thought it was JFG? Maybe both of them went offside during the game. On that TD by Marshall in the 3rd quarter JFG was at least two yards offside but the refs let him get away with it.
  4. Buff and "whatever" for Stamkos. What a fun game.
  5. Why doesn't that guy try and look like an athlete for a change instead of looking like the guys who camp out behind my office in the alley. Like c'mon man!
  6. OK, extreme example to make a generalization from, but fair comment, that is over the top. Can be frustrating to see a fan base take a distinctly Canadian moment and turn it into self-promotion for their own sense of perceived importance. And Bomber fans would never do something that crass. Now let's all sing along to the National anthem - everyone say it with me: "Glorious and free Blue" And while we're at it, during the moment of silence at the Remembrance Day game, let's start the "Let's go Bombers!" chant. Because that's what our fallen soldiers fought for and would want us to do. Hey Migs how's the Kia Forte holding up?
  7. The only time I noticed Bastien was when he was in the endzone watching Moore do his TD dance, and was looking all confused as to what the hell he was supposed to do to join in the celebration.

  9. Yes I concur. My knowledge of the O-line of course is limited to how many times our QB got killed and how big the holes were for the RB's. On those two items alone I thought the O-Line dominated. On that Marshall two-point run you could see the O-Line just push the entire Rider line back, and they almost all ended up in the end zone with Marshall at the end. I also liked Picard's punch to the ribs of Chick while both his arms were tied up by Greaves, while the ref's vision was obscured and Chick was defenseless. Just beautiful. Chick got so mad he forgot about going into pursuit on Marshall and instead tried to fight Picard. That's the kind of nasty edge we've been missing for so long.
  10. And so begins the second round of "Tino Sunseri is the next Ricky Ray" commentary from the Green Kool-aid drinkers. Huzzah.
  11. and in other news, somewhere it might rain.
  12. Can't see that ever happening... I think it just did
  13. Of course it was homerism talking. DOH! The only time I consistently saw the Bombers getting screwed was when that goofball Murray Clark was the head referee. That guy always found a way to screw us over. Good to see he was demoted.
  14. Up until this draft I didn't know much about the USHL but it's turned out a lot of good players over the years, including Pavelski and Okposo, and where Trouba played. Looks like the Jets spent the time scouting a league other teams don't pay as much attention to. I hope it pays off. I don't mind US players. I just don't like Swedes or Russians.
  15. Just watched the Marshall TD in the third quarter again. Picard gives Chick a good shot to the ribs while he is basically defenseless and Chick goes ballistic. I don't care if that's "classless", I just love the nastiness. About time we stop having the CFL's nicest offensive line. As for Picard standing near the stage, he was probably just getting psyched up. Chris Walby used to stand in a tub of ice before games just to get angry.
  16. Yeah, while kinda dumb, I could see how this was applied to the Demski catch. He didn't consciously catch the ball and run into his end zone, which is what a safety is really all about. That being said, had that been a Winnipeg player doing the exact same thing, like Veltung, I could see the Riders getting a safety, as the Bombers always seem to be on the wrong end of the grey area penalty/judgement calls. I guess O'Shea could not have challenged that play even if he wanted but that one pt. could have been critical in a tight game. What was more critical was that if it had been a safety, the Riders would have had to kick off. Instead they got the ball and a few plays later scored a TD. Should not have happened.

  18. I trust the Walters to make the right moves with our QB's but I would hate to see Marve go. It could be the equivalent of letting Danny Mac go back in the 1990's. Brohm? Not so much.
  19. Just re-watched the game. The o-line just got stronger as the game went on. Sukh Chung is a rookie? He didn't take one holding call or jump once, and he was throwing great blocks. Chick burned Bryant only once all game. It's amazing how a good o-line can make such a huge difference. Now we just need Wild and Muamba back.
  20. Eskimos and Riders - talk about two teams that have gone from potentially big years to giant question marks in one week. I usually pity any team that has to rely on Kevin Glenn as their QB, but not in this case. The Riders and Taman deserve Glenn. They just need Kit Cartwright now and they will be the 2008 Bombers all over again.
  21. holding down field on Bomber DB's helped a lot too.
  22. I assume that you must have caught him in the buffet line.
