  1. And truth be told, I would have rather watched that then the entire 2013 season.
  2. Then perhaps be a tad bit more forthcoming when you use words like "stagnating". How about that? Actually Canada is, but I don't want to be patronizing and tell you why. Social progress? What the hell does this mean? Environmental progress?? Like what? Oh right, you want Canada to waste billions on a corrupt carbon trading scheme, all in the name of "fighting" man-made climate change. Yes, waste billions all so that some Euro-trash will like us more, but achieve absolutely nothing. Healthcare- ok - yes - there definitely are huge problems with health care. That's a political football I don't see any party tackling though. Even tiny changes to the status quo cause almost everyone in this country to completely lose their ****, and start crying about "American style health care". It really is a losing proposition to even talk about health care anymore as a politician in this country, other than to keep promising to dump more and more money into it, for no discernible gain.
  3. What the hell does that even mean? Canada has been leading the world in economic growth consistently and are one of the best countries in the world to live in. If that's stagnation I'll take it. Go travel the world a bit and come back, and you'll appreciate what we have a lot more. Travel to places like Egypt, Vietnam or Myanmar, those people would give both their left and right nuts to move to Canada and get to a land that offers such amazing opportunity. Have a look at those idiots in the EU, trying to prop up those lazy commies in Greece. Now THAT's stagnation.
  4. If Swiston sticks with Calgary and becomes a starter for them I will shake my head at why he had three years here and couldn't crack our crappy o-line.
  5. I remembered I also promised the Blue Bastard at last year's Grey Cup game that I would see him again this year. For all of you guys who have not met the Blue Bastard, I strongly suggest that you make the effort. Helluva guy!
  6. That's a good point. It would be great if Ti-Cats TV could do another game.
  7. See, when you write something this stupid, it just makes it harder for guys like me, the undecided voter, to join your team. You guys really are your own worst enemies. Why would he care? Time to buy a calendar, guess who was in power when Canada went into Afghanistan. No he didn't, and of course climate change is real, it's changing all of the time. Back to Afghanistan, the war that started five years before the Conservatives were ever elected. This is like the morons that blame Nixon for Vietnam, and give Kennedy and Johnson a free pass because they were Democrats. And if the ****-head leftists would stop blocking pipelines, no oil would have to be transported by rail.
  8. Except that if the Cleveland Browns accidently fluke out a Superbowl win your taxes don't go up 20%.
  9. We never left a game early, because darn it, it was the 1970's and my dad paid dearly for those seats (even if someone gave him tickets) and we were going to watch every second, and if I didn't like it, that was just too bad, no more games for me. Red Forman was kind of the model for dads in the 1970's. Plus, I was never bored so that helped too. From the first play of the first game I ever attended at age 6, I was smitten. I hope your son is too.
  10. I assume you guys are referring to baseball's Don Cherry when you say Greg Zaun?
  11. Johnny Sears 2.0? Kuale 2.0
  12. yeah Hillary's hands are sure clean...
  13. and old-timey wrestlers.
  14. you mean season-opener.
  15. Big difference on the federal stage though is that the right is not fractured like it was in Alberta. If there was a federal Wildrose party then yeah, it would be Mulcair's time to shine. He'd have to recall all of those career NDP stooges who just jumped into the Alberta pork barrel last week.
  16. am seriously thinking of coming out this year, though there is no way I'm going to watch the game live unless man-made climate change works some miracles on the November weather. What are the events you guys are thinking of attending? I really want to get to Touchdown Manitoba this year.
  17. Morning Big Blue's policy on helping members find tickets to games...
  18. I would but I'm too poor.
  19. LOL - a poll conducted this far out before the election and before the summer months even really start is completely meaningless. The NDP have stirred up some discontent with a lot of fear-mongering over Bill C-51 but almost everyone will have forgotten about it after a few days at the beach. Here in BC the NDP were leading in the polls big time well into the election, and it was only when people started to realize that the NDP might win, and all of the crap that would bring with it, did everyone wake up and start going another direction. I don't see that being much different on a federal level.
  20. Jade Etienne 2.0 no doubt about it.
  21. Not with that attitude you can't You guys in Alberta have only been NDP for three weeks and you've already adopted their "can't do" attitude. That's not what Alberta was built on...
  22. at this point I'd be happy if they did what they did for the Argo-Bomber game, just have a camera at the game, no commentators, and just stream it online. That CAN'T be that expensive, you just need a camera and some dedicated bandwidth.
  23. According to some tweets I saw that basketball thingy is apparently over now. Does this mean that TSN can now show the Bomber game on Friday?
