  1. I think that was the Edmonton game that year. The D kept stepping up and Tee Martin just couldn't do squat. The Bombers lost on the last play of the game, gave up a FG or something. It took me a few hours to calm down I was so pissed after that game. I think Tee Martin left soon after and the Kevin Glenn era began.
  2. I believe I recall a story about that era when I used to listen to the Doug Brown (and Glen January) show - Doug was talking about how they had no D coordinator so they would just call Cover Zero on most plays and hope for the best, ie that Doug would be able to get through to the QB and at least provide some pressure. Forgive my flawed memory but I remember laughing at the time at just what a ****-show 2005 was.
  3. Enjoy it while it lasts - the cycle always repeats. We're at the top end of that cycle right now. Nortel at $120/share.
  4. 1997 called and is laughing right now. I honestly don't think I watched a single game in 1997 or 1998. In 1997 I was in Australia and "streaming games" wasn't a thing back then yet. I was back in Canada in 1998 but the Bombers were so bad I think I passed on most of that season too. I got back into the Bombers again in 1999 after Reinebold was hoofed out. I just couldn't stand that idiot. Even now when I saw him on the sidelines at the home opener with Hamilton this year I had an attack of PTSD just seeing him standing in a Winnipeg football stadium. Yuck....
  5. Or chicken salad from chicken poo....as some wise QB once said... and he had EJ Kuale and Matt Bucknor to work with too...
  6. To finish off the month the Bombers would continue to tweak both their roster and their coaching staff. They announced Gary Etcheverry as their new Defensive Coordinator, and tweaked their quarterback depth chart by releasing backup Justin Goltz and trading their 5th round draft pick in 2014 to the Tiger-Cats in exchange for QB Brian Brohm. Off-season Timeline: Winnipeg Blue Bombers - CFL.ca Oh how far we have come!
  7. yeah that's why I'm thinking Ottawa or Edmonton takes him with their number one pick - and then hangs on to him instead of sending him to BC, just cuz his older bro played there.
  8. Why would BC want him? Because his last name is Rourke? Not following....

  11. Edmonton might have Rourke's bro starting next season if he doesn't get an NFL look.
  12. Here ya go in case you want to watch it some more. From Z to A eh?
  13. good theory - I didn't even think of Letterkenny - because I didn't want to soil their good name with this steaming pile of crap commercial. I can't see Squirrely Dan ever saying "muck a mammoth meal" or say "lets get a pair of piping pies". What an abortion of an advertisement that totally missed the mark.
  14. Yeah unfortunately Terrence Edwards was one of the biggest offenders, always whipping his hand up after every throw, which I felt was too bad because he was one of our best receivers for several years, even on some pretty bad teams. yeah that commercial drives me bad crap crazy. Like he's some modern-day hoser Bob and Doug McKenzie or something.
  15. I just remember her as the quirky "Calliope" on Days of our Lives - when I got hooked on watching it during university. I believe she was involved on that show with the guy who go on to play "Q" on Star Trek.....

  17. yes that is as they say "marriage material"........
  18. is this a message to us on MBB or to the new girlfriend? 😁
  19. Kind of how the Bombers used to feed off of Andrew Harris' energy pre Brady O.
  20. yeah that was a tough call lol...
  21. Evacuation order lifted last night! We are now in Switzerland for the next few weeks but neighbors say everything is OK in our area. Massive fires still burning only a few miles away but at least we are still standing.
  22. Legs cost us a very winnable game last year.
