He's got a work out some time this week. If that doesn't result in an offer then the Laurent sweepstakes begin. I saw one article valuing him at $150K. I hope if that's true that the Bombers at least show some interest and put in a contract offer. He'd be a big piece on the DL. He won't be a replacement for Doug Brown (no one really could be) but he'd give us some roster flexibility.

I wonder if Kyle is able to finagle a move up the ladder if he sees Goosen is still available? He's got a few later round picks to dangle, plus Cauchy...

with us not having any import RB of note right now, what about going NI at running back? Volny backed up by a draft pick this year, or an NI free agent we pick up. That would give us a lot of flexibility too.

We should have won 4 or 5 with teams we had back then. 1983 was the first year we should have won, instead of 1984. And 1985-7 as well. We had some kick-arse teams in those days. And the one in 1990 was technically a 1990's cup. Then there were all those cups in the 00's....not...

Was that the game where the Bombers destroyed the Argos? I remember Huffer kicking major ass in that game. I also remember our section chanting "Bring on the Bears!!" We should have gone to the Cup that year, but Kehoe fumbled on the one yard line in the West semi and that was it. Edmonton ended up getting crushed in the Grey Cup, but it was a great learning experience for their two upstart QB kids, Matt Dunigan and Damon Allen.

I miss Charles Roberts. Man that guy was fun to watch. I still remember watching in awe and amazement as D-linemen and linebackers whiffed and grabbed air as he just cut right by them, scampering for 20 and 30 yards at a pop. I still don't forgive that Diamond Ferri clown for pile driving him into the turf a few years ago. I am so glad we didn't sign that d-bag. It would have been like signing Adriano "Nut Punch" Belli.

Iso - we can't talk about how great things used to be or the sad-sack police aka Noeller and 17 will cry and whine. Since starting to follow the Bombers in the late 1970s I can only remember the following players wearing #5 - Dieter, Tim Jessie, Kevin Glenn and Chadd Simpson. Thorpe was before my time.

You obviously never saw the turnstiles that Khari had to stand behind most of his time here. A good QB can make any Oline look half decent, especially if he has a quick release. Even turnstiles require two seconds to get past to the target on the other side.

Just providing a list of NI-WR we have on our roster right now (not commenting on their viability as starters): Watson Kohlert Brescacin Feoli-Guidino Renaud (Taylor) Fitzgerald (drafted with an H back type role in mind I believe) Guys drafted and coming back: Alli (Not sure about DiCroce) It's going to be interesting to see how they approach the ratio this season. Dicroce was grabbed off waivers by Calgary.

well said, and I'm not saying I condone it, but how the hell is a tweet by some random dude about wearing a robe in a change room interfering with anyone else's freedoms? I just hate to see the random actions by some boneheads expressing poor judgement be used as an excuse for the state to become even more involved in our day to day lives, stating that they are protecting "freedoms".
