  1. Might cost us Pontbriand though...
  2. so does this mean that Jovan is gone?
  3. the key to our success this year will be making sure that our Willy is adequately protected. Ironically he was getting good protection from Labatte in Saskatchewan, who didn't seem to use protection.
  4. I was at that game. He was wide open by about 30 yards. The crowd was already celebrating as Hall floated in a perfect ball. And he Brock Ralphed it.
  5. a minus -6.1 QB rating. That takes special talent. http://cfl.ca/roster/show/id/3855
  6. I just want to know - who howns the Chiefs?
  7. http://nooooooooooooooo.com/
  8. Coincidence that Kamau and Kito have the same initials? I really liked Kito, one of the best practice players in the CFL. Now that being said, I hope he does well in BC and wish him all the best, he seemed like a really classy guy.
  9. Think anyone has an old Khari Stampeders jersey kicking around anywhere? Go for #9 - Gerry Dattilio - then after a bottle of rye mimic his best move and practice your naked bootleg with Noeller.
  10. The biggest change to me was moving Buff up to forward. Suddenly that's two less giveaways for goals per game that the Jets don't have to make up for. Bogosian is just plain bad, he has taken over from Buff as the worst defenceman on the team. I'd trade him away for a jock strap in two minutes. I don't know where Andrew Ladd has disappeared but it appears Wheeler has stolen his mojo after he made the US team and Ladd didn't make the Canadian Olympic team. I hope they pummel the Canucks tonight.
  11. Ouch Yeah I think the "no brainer" reference was to the time Austin spent coaching Bishop when he was the OC of the Argos.
  12. why not a Jonestown style mass suicide at half time during a home game? Just have Obi spike the shwarma....
  13. "Win Now" situation in Montreal? Really? They were pretty shitty as well last year.
  14. Kito isn't married to his number, he just wants to let everyone know how many pro touchdowns he has in three years.
  15. Let's hope he gets a fair shot, but let's also hope for the CFL's sakes that he doesn't turn into a big baby like Fantuz and cry about it if he doesn't. Fantuz's whining about how the Bears treated him was an embarrassment.
  16. yeah Iso give O'Shea a break man. I like that he's working on several different options, rather than just looking at a list and saying "he'll do" and moving on. He's also a rookie HC so he's going to have a bit of a learning curve. I hope the O'Shea reign lasts a long time, but he will make some mistakes. Even Huff still makes mistakes....cough cough Ameet Pall...cough...
  17. I believe you handle it by staring blankly at a fixed object for the entire game, punctuated with looks of disgust once a quarter, if last year's Bomber experience is any sort of example.
  18. LOL - ok I'll withdraw it...
  19. Thanks - that sounds like good intel. If those are the choices you are right, it will be Winnipeg.
  20. Not even going to comment on how stupid he is because of bitterness, I'm just going to say that if that's what he wanted, that's an absolute mishandling of the situation. If Walters had done that deal I'd have called him about buying the bridge here in Kelowna. Then I would have jumped off of it.
  21. http://www.winnipegsun.com/2014/01/30/bombers-lose-out-on-signing-qb-zach-collaros I can't argue too much with the logic here. It's a lot like Reilly last year - small sample size, hard to justify gambling the entire year on an unproven guy. I guess we'll see how it goes. Reilly turned out to be a good QB but still ended up losing a lot of games and taking a severe pummelling.
  22. Signing Burris seems to be a fore-gone conclusion. Reminds me of 1988 when we signed a washed up Roy Dewalt to be our starter as the era of Clements/Hufnagel had finally come to an end. I couldn't stand Dewalt given how many times BC had beaten us and I really couldn't stand seeing him in our uniform. The difference is that Dewalt was washed up by the time he came here and ended up being released during the season, while I think Burris is still able to compete. I was at the game in August where Hank thrashed us and man did he still have a gun for an arm. It's just the brain I am concerned with, he has a tendency to screw up at the worst possible times. You could see how fed up Austin was with some of Hank's bad plays during last season. And he can be a complete jack-arse and not much of a team guy, at least that's what it appears sometimes, maybe that's just a bum rap I don't know. But if he wins for us, all that will be forgotten. I'm just so tired of losing. Beyond tired.
  23. not sure whaaat McDonalds was thinking there...
  24. I was watching the game last night and was struck by how much Scheifele is looking like old #10 Dale Hawerchuk out there. He's really gaining a lot of confidence and I am expecting a big year out of him next year.
