  1. so has this hiring been confirmed yet? Or are we waiting to see if we can get the guy the Bears fired? EDIT - Tibesar. The name just escaped me.
  2. http://m.cfl.ca/video/63487 Like JB's speed - nice moves on those last two catches. I have no doubt that Walters had his eye on this kid but was over-ruled by Mack at draft time.
  3. Taylor Renaud is coming back for another kick at the can? Hmmmm. I am interested to see what Brescacin can bring, he may surprise.
  4. Tom Porras could have started on the 2013 Bombers.
  5. I believe 2014 will be the year of the emergence of BLM. Could be MOP even. Calling it now.
  6. Hell yeah it was!! Oh wait, you said Posse...never mind
  7. I thought Flutie was pulling in around $500K or more in his hey-day, though I think he got stiffed by the Stamps when Ryckman didn't pay him. That was the year I almost ran over Flutie with my car in the University of Calgary parking lot. Ah good times...good times...
  8. Yeah Hank will find a home somewhere, but it will depend on whether he is comfortable sitting behind a younger QB who a team wants to develop. If his massive ego can take that, then he'll be fine. He'll still be raking in $250K or so, can buy a lot of women's undergarments with that. Speaking of inflation - I was watching the 1984 Grey Cup and the announcers were saying that Dieter Brock had turned down $250K a year with the Ti-Cats to make the jump to the NFL, where he was thinking he'd get more than that. $250K in 1984 - QB salaries haven't really gone up much in 30 years.
  9. maybe now Tate can afford a decent barber...
  10. maybe if oil goes to $130 a barrel....
  11. I don't see Hank taking a back-up role, and it's time to give Collaros a shot at starting, especially if we give him starter money to come over here.
  12. and I wish them all the best in that. That being said, if we go with Willy and/or Collaros are we really that much more ahead in terms of experience? I guess we'll see. I'd rather have Collaros right now than Lefevour.
  13. I wish Henoc all the best with his NFL try-outs. If he leaves it's not the end of the world. It would force us to go at least 4 NI's on the O-Line and to build Canadian depth at the tackle position. If we find a decent import middle LB I don't see much of a downgrade at the position. I wouldn't want to hold Henoc back either. That being said, he jumps ship to another CFL team I'll be unhappy. Sometimes **** happens though, look at Fantuz, and of course Labatte.
  14. Rumour is that the Ti-Cats cut Stala to make room for Rocky DiPietro's big comeback.
  15. I was watching the Broncos game via a stream from Sky Sports and they had Reinebold on as an analyst, for reasons unknown. They started talking about coaching positions currently available, and when asked if he had ever made a bad decision, Reinebold didn't hesitate. "Winnipeg".
  16. and draft Trouba - he's going to be a good one. Reminds me of Dave Ellett but with the toughness of Dave Babych.
  17. the problem is we have to play tough teams like BC and Saskatchewan and Calgary more, no more soft soft eastern teams to play where the toughest team is the painfully average at best toronto argos Yup - Edmonton and Calgary stadiums have been graveyards for us for pretty much this entire century so far.
  18. absolutely no idea until I know who our QB is. Right now - we'd get killed.
  19. I would be very happy if we can bring in Jason Maas here.... or any Canadian QB coach out there? Russ Jackson? Gerry Dattilio?
  20. Anaheim is starting a goalie training program for young kids - right now they are calling it "Hiller Youth", but that name may be changed.
  21. I guess the Ti-Cats were fed up with his constant injuries. I think this could be the end of the road for Stala, though Wally sometimes takes a gamble on people the rest of the league has given up on, see Bruce, Arland and Pierce, Buck.
  22. “”Cochran ...ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, I have one final thing I want you to consider. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Chewbacca. Chewbacca is a Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk. But Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor. Now think about it; that does not make sense!Gerald Broflovski Damn it!... He's using the Chewbacca defense!Cochran Why would a Wookiee, an eight-foot tall Wookiee, want to live on Endor, with a bunch of two-foot tall Ewoks? That does not make sense! But more important, you have to ask yourself: What does this have to do with this case? Nothing. Ladies and gentlemen, it has nothing to do with this case! It does not make sense! Look at me. I'm a lawyer defending a major record company, and I'm talkin' about Chewbacca! Does that make sense? Ladies and gentlemen, I am not making any sense! None of this makes sense! And so you have to remember, when you're in that jury room deliberatin' and conjugatin' the Emancipation Proclamation, does it make sense? No! Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, it does not make sense! If Chewbacca lives on Endor, you must acquit! The defense rests.."And I'm the one drinking too much caffeine? Well, ya. You've seen the south park episode this is referenced from, right? If not, quick synopsis is that johnny cochran uses this "defense" to get OJ Simpson aquitted.. actually he uses it to prosecute Chef, then in the end uses it again to help Chef win his case. In his last argument, he pulls out a puppet and shows it to a juror and the juror's head explodes.
  23. We just need him to get his Canadian citizenship first...
  24. I could just stay home, paint the side of my house and watch it dry and get the same level of entertainment value.
  25. This may be why we aren't looking at him. That being said, I thought he did all right as our DC in 2010.
