  1. I wish Henoc all the best with his NFL try-outs. If he leaves it's not the end of the world. It would force us to go at least 4 NI's on the O-Line and to build Canadian depth at the tackle position. If we find a decent import middle LB I don't see much of a downgrade at the position. I wouldn't want to hold Henoc back either. That being said, he jumps ship to another CFL team I'll be unhappy. Sometimes **** happens though, look at Fantuz, and of course Labatte.
  2. Rumour is that the Ti-Cats cut Stala to make room for Rocky DiPietro's big comeback.
  3. I was watching the Broncos game via a stream from Sky Sports and they had Reinebold on as an analyst, for reasons unknown. They started talking about coaching positions currently available, and when asked if he had ever made a bad decision, Reinebold didn't hesitate. "Winnipeg".
  4. and draft Trouba - he's going to be a good one. Reminds me of Dave Ellett but with the toughness of Dave Babych.
  5. the problem is we have to play tough teams like BC and Saskatchewan and Calgary more, no more soft soft eastern teams to play where the toughest team is the painfully average at best toronto argos Yup - Edmonton and Calgary stadiums have been graveyards for us for pretty much this entire century so far.
  6. absolutely no idea until I know who our QB is. Right now - we'd get killed.
  7. I would be very happy if we can bring in Jason Maas here.... or any Canadian QB coach out there? Russ Jackson? Gerry Dattilio?
  8. Anaheim is starting a goalie training program for young kids - right now they are calling it "Hiller Youth", but that name may be changed.
  9. I guess the Ti-Cats were fed up with his constant injuries. I think this could be the end of the road for Stala, though Wally sometimes takes a gamble on people the rest of the league has given up on, see Bruce, Arland and Pierce, Buck.
  10. “”Cochran ...ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, I have one final thing I want you to consider. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Chewbacca. Chewbacca is a Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk. But Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor. Now think about it; that does not make sense!Gerald Broflovski Damn it!... He's using the Chewbacca defense!Cochran Why would a Wookiee, an eight-foot tall Wookiee, want to live on Endor, with a bunch of two-foot tall Ewoks? That does not make sense! But more important, you have to ask yourself: What does this have to do with this case? Nothing. Ladies and gentlemen, it has nothing to do with this case! It does not make sense! Look at me. I'm a lawyer defending a major record company, and I'm talkin' about Chewbacca! Does that make sense? Ladies and gentlemen, I am not making any sense! None of this makes sense! And so you have to remember, when you're in that jury room deliberatin' and conjugatin' the Emancipation Proclamation, does it make sense? No! Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, it does not make sense! If Chewbacca lives on Endor, you must acquit! The defense rests.."And I'm the one drinking too much caffeine? Well, ya. You've seen the south park episode this is referenced from, right? If not, quick synopsis is that johnny cochran uses this "defense" to get OJ Simpson aquitted.. actually he uses it to prosecute Chef, then in the end uses it again to help Chef win his case. In his last argument, he pulls out a puppet and shows it to a juror and the juror's head explodes.
  11. We just need him to get his Canadian citizenship first...
  12. I could just stay home, paint the side of my house and watch it dry and get the same level of entertainment value.
  13. This may be why we aren't looking at him. That being said, I thought he did all right as our DC in 2010.
  14. maybe we just don't hire a DC this year and just run the Chewbacca defense all year instead.
  15. I'm not buying that Hamilton is "up and coming". Winnipeg was "up and coming" in 2011 and then fell apart. Without Burris winning the games in the nice weather days of July, August and Sept I don't know where Hamil-smell will end up this year. It's all about the QB.
  16. Just watch - he'll accuse Joey Elliott of bullying him after he gets "dumb-assed" during training camp.
  17. Your hatred of Burke is blinding you from admitting that our roster is GARBAGE. Burke is an abysmal HC, yes, but you seem to think that just because Lapo took the team to the GC that it was an above average club. We rode to the GC on the strength of a 7-1 start (fuelled by Burke and Harris's defence). Once teams figured it out, remember how we sucked arse for the balance of the year and basically stumbled into the cup, whereupon we were anally pounded by BC? And how did we improve after that GC pounding? Buck Pierce, Goltz, a bag of garbage, oh, and Sofa Muamba. I feel bad for O'Shea (and Walters). They have a lot of work to do.
  18. If we miss the playoffs again this year the team should still show up to the festivities in Vancouver and just play in the Vanier Cup instead.
  19. That is a good point.
  20. good luck to Inman, he's a good one.
  21. Which would be in our favour as we don't throw any passes over 15 yards anyway, meanwhile we'd be able to give our secondary a chance to stop all of the long bombs.
  22. They should have written his name "BRENDAN DUNN". Either stick to the all-caps meme or don't.
  23. I would. Limit the damage on a bad/stupid call.
  24. A little of column A, but mostly column B. It helps to win the Grey Cup once in awhile, though Huffer hasn't done that since 2008.
  25. after our experience on offense with an American guru, I for one applaud going Canadian on the coaching staff. Let's hope that it works out. I'll be cheering for him for sure, always good to see Canadians make good in our league.
