Joey Elliott still played better than Hall did. Higher peaks, lower valleys but even as a major Elliott guy I'd say Hall is more consistent. well do we put a factor in there for Crowton or not? Cause Hall didn't do **** all until well after Crowton was gone. The problem for both of them was a propensity to turn the ball over, to me Elliott was better at his best and that makes a big difference cause Hall had some pretty damned low lows himself. I can just see Dave and Cory on the couch in 2055, mixing in their rye with their Boost and Ensure energy drinks, going on about how "that Elliot guy would have won us a cup in 2013".

I don't think most people "want" this. We are just saying that this is what is currently happening, apparently. In answer to all the people who are asking why Burke is still at this moment at IGF in the coach's office, as opposed to doing something more in line with his talents, like learning how to run the hot dog machine.

He did have the players slotted into which players can be starters on which teams and backups etc. I haven't heard of such a system but then, who am I to argue with Burke. I heard Burke say this on the post-game commentary after the last game on CJOB. Bizarre. I'd like to hear more of an explanation to this. I think it just is what it is. They want an evaluation from the coaches before they are all canned. They are getting paid anyway. Whether their evals just go into the dumpster is another discussion. I personally would keep everyone around until after the Ottawa draft, just so that you know what you are doing and are ready to handle any curve-balls. You are right Iso, but it starts with the QB and the Coach. We never had an Oline the entire time Khari was here either.

We need a QB and a decent coach. We've had neither for a long time, and that's on Mack. Once we've got those two key pieces, everything else will fall in afterwards. Edmonton was one minute away from having just as bad a season as us, but you don't get the same feeling of despair from them. That's what a good QB gives you. Hope.

He should pull a Lapo after the axe falls and get a job on TSN for the next two years so he can double-dip on paychecks. Winnipeg should be able to supply coaches for that "Coach's Playbook" segment at half time for many years to come.

So where would these guys get the news about Winnipeg being so bad? Most of the guys that come up readily admit they know nothing about the CFL or Canada until they get here. Is some agent poisoning the well? When they come to Canada, they pretty much are at the end of their professional ropes as their NFL dreams are either dead or on hold, and so it would be a case of Beggars can't be choosers, I would think.

I could see why everyone would want to leave Toronto, the better question is - why would you want to leave to take the top job with the Bombers? In Toronto at least you are free from the prying eyes of the media and fans, as there aren't any. And in Winnipeg the media is downright terrible. Stay in Toronto hotdog man.

actually, i think that JBRs 3rd rounder plus a conditional 1st isn't unreasonable. but i also think that the rights to Bilukidi is a fair offer too. heck, we're losing the guy anyway... yeah that could work. What about JBR's theory that Barker might be offered the chair in Winnipeg? Would he want it?

That's what I asked about Edmonton last year trading for Reilly a few days before he became a free agent. It just made no sense.
