Bo Levi Mitchell Starter the rest of the year
kelownabomberfan replied to Jpan85's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
nope Glenn's not hurt. It was a joke tweet. -
It's the only way to get through this season. I have already wrecked my liver so now it's time to go for the lungs...

we sign a guy who lost his 3rd string job? Yeah those coaches in Sask really musta loved the guy, cut him and everything. LOL. Now we know whose account Joe Mack is using to post on here....

Shawn Churchill @ShawnChurchill 5m Burke says coaches in Saskatchewan have given him recommendation on Levi brown. What rivalry? Amazing what happens when you actually talk to other teams instead of pretending they don't exist.
-
So anyone know anything about Brown? Looks like he was on the Sask roster right up until June of this year, and then released during training camp. To get to the roster limit, the Roughriders released eight players: import quarterback Levi Brown, non-import linebacker Aaron Crawford, import running back Stephfon Green, import linebacker Anthony Heygood, import receiver Phillip Livas, import defensive end Kenny Rowe, non-import defensive lineman David Rybinski and import defensive back Chip Vaughn. Brown, 26, was the Roughriders' fourth quarterback in 2012, but he spent the entire campaign on injured lists and didn't dress for any games. When former NFLer J.T. O'Sullivan - last season's third-stringer - was released in the off-season, Brown appeared destined for the active roster. After all, he had worked with Roughriders' offensive coordinator George Cortez while they were both with the NFL's Buffalo Bills. However, Saskatchewan head coach Corey Chamb-lin said newly-signed pivot Tino Sunseri "looked a little bit better with what we were doing than Levi did at the time." Since the Roughriders don't want to keep four quarterbacks this season, Brown was released. Chamblin said cutting a player who had played in the system for a season was tough. "The management (informed) most of the guys, but I said, 'Let me talk to Levi for a second,'" Cham-blin said. "He's a guy we brought in and you form a relationship with them. "As a coach, I know they'll all be released or something at one point in time, but I just wanted to make sure he was OK and told him that if he needed help in any way, we'll try to help him." http://www.thestarphoenix.com/sports/Brown+Rowe+among+first+cuts/8539871/story.html

Nobody throws a pick-six quite like Buck. His delivery right in to the opposing DB's hands is just flawless. That's a talent you just can't teach.
-
good luck Chris. Break a...I mean...I wish you all the best.
-
nope. Apparently work out wasn't done in front of the media.
-
That guy has to be in his 50's by now...
-
Nope. Best was signed to an extension in 2012 that carries into 2014. Oh ok thanks.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDJA4h8T0D0&feature=youtu.be Oh that Weiner!

yeah I sat there watching Montreal and Toronto bumble through that game and was just pounding the table at how frustrating it is that the Bombers had to pick this year to suck so hard. The road to the Grey Cup is open in the East, and we're so weak we can't even board the bus or start the car.
-
Do you have any inkling who they are trying to trade for? I have an inkling on who they WANT to trade for, but I don't think that's who they're going to end up acquiring. No doubt they want Chris Best. Wasn't Best a free agent at the start of the year? Yet another guy that Mack refused to go after?
-
They literally didn't have any other number to give him. It would be nice if the number 4 became available.
-
You've seen Hall for one game and you're declaring him done in favour of these Ticat/Rider castoffs? Oh ok then. Ok maybe not "done" - but I definitely like Goltz more than Hall. The mobility is a huge factor. Hall doesn't move very much, seems pretty slow back there. Just my opinion. Which I believe we are all entitled to.
-
-
So I assume this means Buck is done for the year? With Boltus and Brown now on the roster, plus Max Hall, doesn't leave much room for Buck. Also I am hoping that Hall is done too, after having seen Goltz and Hall in action, I prefer Goltz.

That's why I know we'll be signing Rottier the minute Edmonton cuts him.
-
He's our sleeper. We're saving him. Yeah we'll only use him if things get really dire.
-
Especially after Elliott's comments after the 52-0 shellacking in the LDC last year, when he said "well I played ok" or something to that effect.
-
Contrary to popular belief Mack isn't the **** who struggles to tie his shoes that everyone seems to be painting him as since he's been fired. Makes a hell of a scapegoat though. He's a great scapegoat. Blaming everything on Mack also plays well with the "I told you so" and "we knew all along" crowd.

My theory on why Mike Reilly hasn't been injured yet: This is his secret identity.

I was driving home from Whistler yesterday and listening to the game via the internet on my phone. I decided to go with the Calgary feed. I couldn't believe the low quality of the Calgary commentators. Repeatedly, they cut down the Edmonton team and called them all kinds of names, like "pathetic" and "stupid". I couldn't believe the lack of respect. I laughed my ass off listening to them trying to downplay the Edmonton comeback - first Edmonton gets a TD to make it 37-13, and they were like "well that means nothing, this game is over", and then when it was 37-20 they were "well this is just about making the score respectable, but this game is completely over", and then when it suddenly became 37-27 they were still nattering on about Dickenson taking out all of his starting offensive guys to "make sure they are ready to play next week, as this game is over". I got home to start watching the game live just as Edmonton scored their final TD so I didn't get to hear the rest of the Calgary excuse-fest. All I have to say is - thank heavens we have Bob Irving. Calgary's radio guys suck.
