According To Burke, Buck Is The Starter

yup. Beating the Bombers isn't exactly a ringing endorsement. And Toronto is really in tough if they have to now play the rest of the season without their gift from the league at QB. -

Oh yeah I guess TO gets to be in the top 4 by default. Otherwise, blech. -

Buck Pierce......should Goltz Start?

But at least the locker room would be fully stocked with Dove moisturizer. -
Buck Pierce......should Goltz Start?
kelownabomberfan replied to Brandon's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I think there is a big difference. Goltz at least gets out of the pocket and makes plays, Buck just stands there like a tackling dummy waiting for his O-line to let a guy through so he can be sacked. Having a mobile QB is just such a huge weapon in the CFL, as it keeps the other team off balance. Just look at Lulay. I'd say his passing skills are average at best, but he makes plays happen and always has to have a guy spying him as he's a constant threat to just take off with the ball. Goltz has that same threat, whereas no one is afraid of Buck's scrambling anymore. -

I may need a few beers in me to fully agree with you, but I am at this point definitely smelling what you are stepping in. -
I'm ashamed that this guy went to the University of Winnipeg. I expected that he was a McMaster or Brock grad... Anyway...here's your tax dollars at work Bluto...you paid for it...enjoy!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DThXYzFTbos

you've probably been supporting this tool your entire tax-paying life. He took English Lit and theatre in university - what are the odds that it was 100% financed with student loans that he's never paid back? I see that he lists "Bible-eating" as one of his talents. What is with these guys? If you really want to be "edgy" you'd eat a Koran. Now THAT takes courage.

Looks like the kind of guy that could only live in a country with generous social programs like ours - come to Canada, where thanks to free health care and welfare programs, even the stupidest dreams can come true. I had actually heard of this guy from the Edmonton Fringe so I got the mayonnaise rectum reference, but still wanted to make a cheap joke at your expense SBF. Thanks for playing along.

We'll see if Ray and Kackert are out for an extended period. If so then you can add Toronto to that list. If Ray is out, look for the attendance at Skydome to really dip. They were only 36,000 short of a sell-out last game...

Yup. An new all time low for the East division. I'm still waiting for the East to beat the West once this season. I am not sure we are going to see it until the last few weeks of the season when West teams are playing all of their water-boys and third stringers to save their starters for the play-offs.

Argos @ Bombers Gdt -- Game Day: We All Play
kelownabomberfan replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
He's listed on their active roster. Imagine the uproar if the Bombers had cut Etienne after the first season training camp, and he ended up on the active roster of the Riders? And playing? A nuclear bomb would go off at IGF. -
Blue Bombers add three to practice roster Monday, July 22nd, 2013 The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have added non-import defensive linemen Aaron Crawford and Mathieu Boulay as well as import linebacker Shelly Lyons to their practice roster. Boulay (6-2, 250, Bishop’s, DOB: November 23, 1987 in Montréal, Québec) attended training camp with the Montreal Alouettes earlier this season after being a final cut of the Saskatchewan Roughriders last season. Boulay was a member of the Roughriders’ practice roster in 2011 and appeared in 10 games that season, registering one tackle and one forced fumble. He spent four seasons at Bishop’s where he dressed in every game as a senior and registered 45 tackles and eight sacks on his way to being named his team’s Lineman of the Year. Crawford (6-4, 250, Saint Mary’s, DOB: September 23, 1986 in Medicine Hat, Alberta) was drafted by the Toronto Argonauts in the sixth round (40th overall) in 2012 but was released following training camp after making the move to fullback during the preseason. He joined the Saskatchewan Roughriders’ practice roster in October and attended training camp with the team earlier this season. At Saint Mary’s, Crawford finished his senior season with 33 tackles and two fumble recoveries. Lyons (6-2, 225, Arizona State, DOB: January 19, 1990 in Corona, California) played in 43 games over four seasons with the Sun Devils – including 12 starts – and recorded 126 along with one sack and two interceptions. He signed with the Miami Dolphins last season as an undrafted free agent and recorded six tackles during the preseason before being among the team’s final cuts. Looks like they aren't happy with Jake Thomas or Ryan Lucas?

I will agree that we should have taken Norman over long-shot Bilukidi but hind-sight is 20-20. Just ask John Hufnagel about Ameet Pall. -
One Thing Overlooked On Friday ...
kelownabomberfan replied to Mike's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Woodson at receiver eh? Oh well, I guess we'll just agree to disagree on this one. There are a lot of reasons the coaching staff should be under-fire, this one just seemed to be nit-picking to me. -
One Thing Overlooked On Friday ...
kelownabomberfan replied to Mike's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Right. And if Kohlert or Etienne had been hurt and we had to go with a two-back set because we had no receivers to back-up our starters then everyone would say they were dumb for not dressing Carter. I know the coaching staff has made its share of mistakes, but this seems like just a reason to dump on them so you can dump on them. Should they have put Carter in? It's a long season, while they were in "garbage time" in the 4th quarter, we still need all the points we can get against an Eastern rival, especially one who has shown signs they are every bit as crappy as the rest of the Eastern division. -
Man is Hamilton brutal. How bad are we to lose to these bums...
