  1. His knee brace serves two functions....
  2. She's a mom now, needs the cash for diapers...
  3. Only if that had been a Winnipeg player...
  4. "Charleston Hughes is better than Jefferson and Jeffcoat combined" - everyone on Riderfans right now....
  5. And "he's only 25 years old folks"
  6. Come on Argos, that was brutal.
  7. and ask why ****-heads like Duron Carter and Marino would never ever be allowed to pull on a Bomber uniform while this management and coaching staff are around. FIFO - why does the rest of the league not understand how important that concept is to winning? Looks like back then they had to wear glow in the dark unis or they wouldn't have been able to see each other. LOL
  8. playing with un-gouged eyes should make a big difference...
  9. yes it's becoming very Brock Ralph-esque...
  10. Looks like we shouldn't make the playoffs this year as the Bombers lost $170k on the playoffs last year, if you look at the revenue and operating expense line items. What's that all about? I know that it's all buried in accounting but you'd have thought that having a home WF game would have been pretty lucrative no? What am I missing here?
  11. for sure - pizza or spaghetti before a big game was a common theme.
  12. I feel like I am experiencing 1996 all over again here.
  13. It probably would help Collaros if he got a knee brace. Not really fair that only CoFaj has one. Really skews the odds.
  14. Redundant statement. Does he ever get it right? LOL
  15. Carbo loading was a big thing back then before games. That TV commercial with Doug Gilmour and Mike Vernon was a real thing.
  16. True, but we crushed Edmonton in the WSF in 1983 with Moon at QB. Edmonton was already on the downslope by that point. BC was just starting to rise, and so were we. The rest of the 80's was more about BC vs Winnipeg, but even if Moon had stayed Edmonton was not going to be nearly as dominant. I remember back in the day Dale Hawerchuk saying that his summer training regime was "golf". He didn't do much to get in shape during the summer. But he didn't have to, he had natural talent that few players before and since had.
  17. Rod Hill was unbelievable. The guy was an INT machine.
  18. yeah I'm not as old as your uncle (not by a long shot) but I can agree with him on this one. Would be good to talk to him and reminisce about those days. I still to this day have never seen another player like Tyrone Jones. I don't know why that guy wasn't in the NFL, but man did we luck out on getting that guy. I can agree but you also have to remember last year was a bit different, no training camps, 14 games etc. A lot of teams just weren't ready to play like the Bombers were, and kudos to our Canadian mafia who had everyone ready to go. This year is going to be more of a test I think for just how good we truly are. JMHO.
  19. Miss Cleo told Kyle to sign Ellingson so we knew they would have a psychic connection lol...
  20. yup. Not taking anything away from Tommy C (that 1984 team is still my favorite of all time) but that D we had back then was unbelievable.
  21. and yet they won two cups without Tom Clements.
  22. yup - Ray Jauch was a good coach but he kept running into the Edmonton juggernaut of the late 70's early 80's. It was up to Cal Murphy and Mike Riley to bring it home.
