  1. I'm implementing a new rule - if you can name five active Blue Bomber players you can come over. That should screen out 99% of the posers...
  2. I hear you. Invited various people over (once vaccinations were in effect) to watch games during the season and no one could be bothered. Then of course this week I get calls all week "so you having me over for the GC?" I'm like - you didn't watch a game all year and now suddenly you're a fan? Get bent...
  3. Held a big party in 2019, this year due to COVID keeping it a lot lower key. The 2019 GC was for a big celebration as we busted the drought, this one is for me.
  4. That's why PVR's were invented!
  5. I'd quit. But I'm also self-employed so....I'd probably hire me back on Tuesday when the hangover was finally subsiding...lol
  6. I disliked Dunigan in one game in 1988, otherwise definitely loved him.
  7. I agree there. Michael O'Shea puts his pants on one leg at a time like the rest of us, but when he does it he wins Grey Cups. As a coach...lol...
  8. Go ahead and "pursue" all you want. Talk about a thankless job. Osh is a great coach and motivator, but one of the biggest reasons he succeeded in Winnipeg was that he had the support of Miller and Walters to let him build a winning culture, and he had great draft picks and talented players that were brought in that fit that culture. I don't see Osh getting that kind of support in Edmonton. If management doesn't have his back, the players won't see the need to FIFO, and they'll just go whining to the President and other coaches behind his back. It's mission impossible, unless you have buy-in from top to bottom in your organization in the FIFO mentality and in a commitment to integrity and excellence. The stupid Elks don't have that and won't have it until the pieces at the top come into place first. I got this far into your post and I was overcome with total joy.
  9. I believe that Andrew can. He was a bit amped up in 2019 due to the whole PED nonsense, and felt a bit betrayed and so had a chip on his shoulder. I don't expect him to be running any less hard today, but now it's all about defending the Cup and (potentially) going out on top. I expect a big game from him today. I expect this to be Dane Evans' theme song today lol...
  10. ha beat me to it. Got up at 5:00 am to watch one Hamilton lose, now the party is just getting rolling to watch the second Hamilton loss of the day. Woo hoo!!
  11. Did he buy it off of Evander Kane lol
  12. Learn to score on breakaways. Man just useless...
  13. If I was Hamilton I'd be watching the video of the Winnipeg loss to Toronto. Figure out what the Argos figured out that no one else could do. And then focus on making as few mistakes as possible.
  14. Was watching the replay of the 2019 Grey Cup this morning on TSN. Although I've watched that game about 100 times I still couldn't take my eyes off the screen. I had to watch until at least half time and see that Dane Evans sideline interview, which cracks me up every time, he looks like a frightened jack rabbit that just wants to go hide in a hole until the big bad wolf has gone away.
  15. I see I'm a bit late with this but yikes why would the Elks want this freaking idiot around? This is like throwing out the trash, and then grabbing someone else's trash and bringing it into your house. Doesn't really solve the problems they have, just replaces a cancerous culture with diabetes.
  16. Guess who won that year? It didn't make the loss to the Argos in the EF any less suckier, but it was nice to see Tom get rewarded.
  17. They had to stop selling beer in cans in Saskatchewan after some unruly fans started hucking full beer cans at the Lions bench. I am thinking that happened around 2008 or so? Looked it up, yup... Roughriders put lid on beer can sales CBC News · Posted: Oct 02, 2008 10:22 AM CT | Last Updated: October 2, 2008 A beer-throwing incident has prompted the Saskatchewan Roughriders to halt the sale of beer in cans. The decision, which will be effective at the next home game Friday night, was made after angry fans hurled beer cans at the B.C. Lions during a game two weeks ago. The shower of aluminum briefly led to Lions' players and coaches finding refuge on the playing field as opposed to their traditional sideline space. Fans were reacting to what they believed to be a bad decision by the referee. According to the team, 47 fans were ejected from the game for the unwelcome display of disaffection. Team officials announced on Wednesday that the sale of beer in cans has been eliminated for fans in the east side stands of Mosaic Stadium, the home of the Roughriders. Instead, Jim Hopson, president and CEO of the club, told reporters suds will now be served in plastic cups. Roughriders put lid on beer can sales | CBC News
  18. FIFY I had a flashback to the 1984 GC and Tyrone Jones stripping the ball from Brock and then Stan Mikawos rumbling down the field for a TD after scooping up the fumble. Wouldn't it be cool if history would repeat itself and Jake Fatboi Thomas takes one to the house after Dane "deer in headlights" Evans gets stripped by one of the Jeffs....I would love to see that. Watching old Jake just givin' er down the field with Needy Banks just bouncing off of him...lol...
  19. Isn't that where Co-Faj started?
  20. He's channeling the positive Greta Thunberg energy!
  21. I have no real hate for any current CFL refs. The guy that I couldn't stand was Murray Clark, and he was demoted. He blew so many calls against us and they always seemed to go in favour of the Alouettes. Andre Proulx survived an on field heart attack and came back to keep reffing. That's a true Canadian!
