I'd skip Focault and Go with Smith. The guy is fast and Powerfull, he'll fit right in with what we do at DT... Just get him to lose 15 pounds and he'll be a golden NT for us.... Plus, he can switch to Guard in a pinch. The more I look into Smith, the more I like him, If I were in Walters position, I'd even be tempted to go with Smith Over Lavertu.... However, Center is such a glaring need for us that you can't pass up on him no matter how good the other Players look.

I guess O'shea and Walters feel our Canadian content is strong enough to burn a DI spot on a kicker
-
I don't Think Saulsberry was brought in to play C. Though It will be nice to have him be able to play it in a pinch. Between Saulsberry, January, Knapp and Jones, we'll have 2 very good Tackles this year... Center and RG will continue to be weaknesses though... Hopefully we can get Lavertu. I wonder if BC would consider trading Norman with the right offer.

I feel pretty good knowing that we have a chance at either Quinn Smith or Pierre Lavertu. And as much as I don't Want Focault, he's still a good prospect who Bob Wylie can work with.
-
Well, he's still the second highest rated Interior Lineman. I'd like to see us trade down if Ottawa takes Lavertu now.
-
It was two picks I was thinking about that trade JBR and I don't think they would do it for number 2 strait up... we would probably have to throw in one of our 3rd's... but I'd still do it... I'm really thinking the bombers are going to go for Smith if Ott. grabs Lavertu
-
Was chad ever really a physical force though? I think he's more of a cerebral receiver which could help him at his age do OK for himself up here... But I'm with who ever doesn't think he's going to be that good

There's no advantage in trading out of the first round for more picks later in this draft. A reasonable deal for the 5th pick would be like the 9th and 11th from Hamilton. Definitely heard Walters say that an OL will be our pick at 2nd overall. Will be interesting to see if they change their mind if/when Ottawa takes Lavertu. We're getting kind of heavy on the tackle projects who probably end up playing guard because tackle ends up being an import spot (Pencer, Swiston, Neufeld, even Morley is one of those), our interior line stinks and all of those guys are having trouble playing inside. Unless they think Foucault won't join that crew, I'd be reticent to make that pick. I think I'd rather trade down and snag 2-3 guys (including one of the 2nd tier OL, a guy like Kyle Patterson or Jas Dhillon who might end up being a better CFL guard than a guy like Foucault), we could probably add a DL or LB/DB that could make our team this year. Say we got offered 5 and 12 from BC, or 4 and 13 from Montreal, think it would have to be considered. Agreed one hundred and fifty percent

Yeah, I didn't go through the trouble of looking at everything.... I just took the safe route and said top 2.... I remember one play where Lulay got outside of him and he actually chased Lulay down from behind for either not much gain or for a TFL. That was when I realized he wasn't coming back in 2014

Where does everyone have Quinn Smith on their draft boards? How do you guys compare him to Evan Gill?
-
IMO, Alex Hall was a top 2 rush end talent last season.
-
Hate this guys mock.. really hope it doesn't happen
-
That's all I can say about Evan Gill. If Ottawa takes Lavertu, and they are really sour on Goossen, maybe take Gill or trade down for a later first and a second if anyone is interested? I really don't see Foucault fitting our needs for 2nd overall either. He's a pipeline pick, and we already have some guys in the pipeline. Coombs is one hell of a gamble for a team like the Bombers to take IMO. Im hoping that if Ottawa takes Lavertu that the Bombers trade down. Id like to see us trade with Montreal or BC and grab their first and second rounders... If its with BC id like number 12 along with 5. I don't want Focault, and one of Gill, Smith, or Goosen should be there at 4 or 5 IMO. In this scenario, We may still be able to get Coombs at 12 or 13

Prempeh seems interesting to me
-
Sure seems like it doesn't it....But we'll still need a monster NT Seems like a lot of defensive signings nonetheless.... Mike O seems to really want a dominant defence

Thanks for the clarification atomic

Why would he be looking to trade Westerman? Because he told Wally he won't be extending
-
I wonder if Wally will be looking to trade Westerman now? Anyone know hats going on with Ted Laurent? Any serious NFL interest?
-
Makes me wonder about Woods recovery from the broken bone in his foot. Not bad to have some insurance though in case he struggles with it, tends to be an injury that reoccurs or potentially affects mobility. Will be interesting to see if the Bombers take a look at Garvin as a receiver or DB. Wasn't he a pretty good DB in Florida? Why is he listed as a rec.?
-
I'll take Max Hall as my backup if the RedBlacks wont give KG to us for very cheap... Id be very unpleased if we gave anything of value for Kevin.

Bombers sign WR/KR Austin Coleman (unannounced)

A Look at the Blue Bombers LB's and DB's
James replied to JuranBoldenRules's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Our receivers and DB's are going to be S.I.C.K. this year. Hopefully someone can really come out and Grab the MLB spot between Tate, Parker, Hogue and Francis(if he is actually signed). I think Tate or Parker will be an awesome DI for us. I'd love to have all three DI's on defence again and just share the return duties with guys who are already on the 42. I like that model the best. If we had a guy like Mulumba or an eighth NI starter like Harris, It would be a lot easier to DI a return specialist... But we don't. -
A Look at the Blue Bombers Defensive Line
James replied to JuranBoldenRules's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Say our dreams come true and we signed Ted Laurent... How do you think Anderson would fit in? Specifically wondering about him dropping to 265 and playing DE in a John Chick type of role? -
I'm pretty excited about this guy. He's huge! and he can move too! 35" vert on a 6'6" frame = very hard to defend!
