Peach over Gibson is another head scratcher

Montreal Fires Higgins, Popp to be Interim HC

Defence is coming along well and the linebackers are good. Hurl has improved immensely though still not and probably never will be dominant... however he's not a bad linebacker either. Bass is one of the best in the league at his spot.... Randle was bad at first at slb but has improved to the point of being one of the... actually probably the best player we have ever employed as a cover linebacker.. DL is where we are weak.. Turner and Peach have been weak links... Anderson was bad at first but is coming along drawing the double teams and holding the run to little gains. Westerman is good though. -
Christo Bilukdi And Andy Mulumba watch

I think we could see Bilukidi this year. -
Bombers interested in Jasper Simmons, UPDATE: Signed to PR

Wilds skill set does not allow him to be the type of cover guy needed at SAM -
Bucknors really looked pretty damn good at times this year... can't say that for the OL. Particularly the center and right guard spots.

No kidding... the guys been our best player there since we've used that spot as a cover linebacker! Not only can he cover anyone in the league... but he can really punish guys and stuff the run when needed. He's entering elite territory IMO as far as talented SAM Linebackers go in the CFL. I agree the real weakness is the DL. If we were to land Bilukidi then trading Hurl for a dominant DE and a pick becomes a lot easier to accept. Then Simmons and Bass can tear up the league together.(which if we ever get them together on the same unit consistantly, is exactly what they would do) -

Simmons bass and Randle would be a pretty crazy good group of backers... Now to regularly start Collins and Gibson on the DL and our defence will be dominant -

I think Thomas is coming along very nicely and very well could turn out to be our Canuck Bryant Turner in the future... -

If we want another good American MLB why don't we just hit the trail and find one? Trading a Canadian OL for him would be silly IMO. -
3rd Down Nation: Bomber Thoughts: Tor vs Wpg

I think man for man our OL is as good as 07. Difference is Doug Berry drawing up the schemes to Marcel B. Drawing up the schemes. Our receivers are just as good as that year because IMO Milt was declining that year, only spot that might be worse is RB depending how you felt about Charlie that year. But Willy vs Glenn makes up for that. -

I think if we could just find a DT that could beat the double team... an American rush end that can rush the passer and defend the run, this defence will be dominant... But we have to upgrade the offensive game plans to beat the blitz. In my opinion we have the best personel on offense we've had since 2007. If we could just learn to beat the blitz and find a couple good DL and just play Veltung at Returner... this team would be pretty fantastic. -

Yeah, Lirim needs to work on a few things.... but He's a Canadian that can do all 3 chores. He's certainly not perfect, but I'd seriously think he should practice more and get a little more coached up before replacing him with a guy like Swayze waters.... who is American. Lirim is huge for this roster. -
Mostly because they know what it takes to succeed in this league. A guy like Doug Brown knows good technique and how hard you have to work to be successful in the CFL,. He's been coached by many different guys and probably has an idea on what kind of coach he would want to be based on a combination of different coaching techniques that he's been exposed to over his many years of football. I think he would also be a no B.S. type of guy, and if someone wasn't good enough he'd let his HC know ASAP that there shouldn't be any room for him in his lineup. Just my opinion

Brown as DL coach?

Veltung must have made a few mistakes at rec? But then how in the world do you keep Stoudemire at returner? I'd like to hear MOS logic on that one -

Looking at our lineup makes me so depressed -
That explains the poor play for Neufeld

Jace daniels got manhandled on a few occasions last night, Bucknor was burned a few times. Leggett didn't give him any help over top on the one TD he got burned on. would be nice if a DL other then Westerman could get to the QB... Calling Muamba and Bilukidi!!!
-
Definitely looks a lot bigger... speeds still there though... Hope we get him back...
-
Greaves and Hurl would cover Henan salary. Then we could move Bass to Mac and play a guy like Littlejohn at WILL... or sign Wild Obviously won't happen though
-
I don't think Waggoner will be in the middle... not that he can't do it... but he's a perfect candidate for WLB. I think we could have a guy like Bass or a Bear woods type un the middle with Waggoner at WILL next year and we will be set

Thanks GBill for sharing and going to practice so often....

LittleJohn looks intriguing to me
