I didn't think Oliveira would be elite, I thought he would be a ratio-breaker who wouldn't hurt us on the field. But this performance is Harris-esque.

love seeing that patient little sidestep at the LOS that got Brady into the clean lane ... Oliveira's game has really come together this year.

to think that Butler was the guy I was worried about going into today ... after seeing his burst against Calgary I thought he could gash us ... but our run D has been pure armor. can't use that second level burst if you never reach the second level.

to get back to the game talk.... I agree with folks here that there is no way on paper that BC competes with us. Their prize QB didn't play well against us when he was smashing the rest of the league. Their OL is leaky at best and kid Canada is scrambling about 80% as well as he did in the early going and his throws seem to have about 5-10% less mustard on them. And their RB with his legit unreal burst has a gimpy leg. Butler is a guy who could really hurt us, given how we've been gashed by guys like him. Sure give em credit, the Lions made some plays in the WSF and Rourke made some throws and had a tidy and productive game, and those BC receivers are freaking pitbulls when the catch is contested. but they also got hella lucky in that game because the opposing coach was Dave "Shoot Myself In The" Dickenson. so yeah in conclusion I am feeling super relaxed about the WF. This means we are ******* doomed. I'm sorry, my bad.

for me it's the tale of two t-shirts: the swaggerville t-shirt was a flashy side hustle by a bunch of guys who were hyping themselves after an unreal half-season run of defensive awesomeness. but it wasn't sustainable, it was a flash in the pan. (tbh I wanted one super bad but I didn't ever hear back from Jovon about international shipping) the GOAT 24 t-shirt they rolled out last year was a tribute to an unsung hero on the team who is the best in history at his important, obscure job, and the big men on the team were all rocking them. QB out there hyping a special teamer... you love to see it. (was GOAT 24 a player-only thing or did the Bomber Store sell it?)

well, whoever is the best, can't deny that Calgary has an effective rushing game and should have no lack of confidence in their run blocking in a 3rd-and-one situation.

I have no idea why you call that risky sweep on the 3rd-and-1 at the BC 30 I can't see wanting to play for the TD so early in the game. Why play desperate in the first quarter of a 3-3 game? But it's a 3rd-and-1 which should be pretty automatic in the CFL, so I can kinda understand this. but I really can't see why you take the ball away from your two great RBs and your 6'5" short-yardage QB and your best-in-the-cfl OL (by sack and rushing stats, anyway) on that play. There's massive risk and only a little bit of upside; if you're super lucky maybe you score a TD but more likely you're still just in FG range. It was time to play dave ritchie football, line up and beat the guy opposite you -- not a time for your coach to demonstrate how nifty their playbook is. Anyway, dickenson has all winter to think about it. Onwards to BC.

Can't take any opponent lightly. The only team that put a genuine beatdown on us this year is a team with a losing record and a soft eastern schedule. Any given sunday, etc.

Youtube user Waders27 has been uploading great career highlight videos from recent Bomber players. He just got to a couple of my favorites: Go to 6:48 to see Leggett's ridonkulous game against BC, with a clutch goal-line tackle and a pick return that featured like nine separate bomber defenders throwing blocks, some great team play there, pure Mike O'Shea team-first football. J-Lo was Terrance Edwards like guy in that he rarely played on winning teams but he always gave the fans something to cheer about. His 1-yard-line strip of Chris Williams at 3:11 is pure sweetness. check out how he makes up 10 yards on Williams from the 35 in. One of my favorite Bomber plays of any era. anyway, great memories there, check it out and thank him for his work.

was sure the redblacks were going to regret not taking a shot at the endzone on their second-and-goal play on their last drive ... but it worked out for them.
