well, whoever is the best, can't deny that Calgary has an effective rushing game and should have no lack of confidence in their run blocking in a 3rd-and-one situation.

I have no idea why you call that risky sweep on the 3rd-and-1 at the BC 30 I can't see wanting to play for the TD so early in the game. Why play desperate in the first quarter of a 3-3 game? But it's a 3rd-and-1 which should be pretty automatic in the CFL, so I can kinda understand this. but I really can't see why you take the ball away from your two great RBs and your 6'5" short-yardage QB and your best-in-the-cfl OL (by sack and rushing stats, anyway) on that play. There's massive risk and only a little bit of upside; if you're super lucky maybe you score a TD but more likely you're still just in FG range. It was time to play dave ritchie football, line up and beat the guy opposite you -- not a time for your coach to demonstrate how nifty their playbook is. Anyway, dickenson has all winter to think about it. Onwards to BC.

Can't take any opponent lightly. The only team that put a genuine beatdown on us this year is a team with a losing record and a soft eastern schedule. Any given sunday, etc.

He just got to a couple of my favorites: Go to 6:48 to see Leggett's ridonkulous game against BC, with a clutch goal-line tackle and a pick return that featured like nine separate bomber defenders throwing blocks, some great team play there, pure Mike O'Shea team-first football. J-Lo was Terrance Edwards like guy in that he rarely played on winning teams but he always gave the fans something to cheer about. His 1-yard-line strip of Chris Williams at 3:11 is pure sweetness. check out how he makes up 10 yards on Williams from the 35 in. One of my favorite Bomber plays of any era. anyway, great memories there, check it out and thank him for his work.

is the referee the only official who's looking into the backfield for holds? I'm asking because at one point Jefferson had beaten his guy and was bearing down on Fajardo but didn't get there because the beaten OL had put a double hand grab on the back of his jersey. it looked blatant enough that I didn't need a closeup to see it. but then I noticed that WJ was directly between the referee and the hapless roughrider tackle. I guess that's one way you get away with holding: keep your hands out of sight of the referee.

I don't think I could do that at a walk, let alone in full stride...and good lord the eyes on Collaros to be able to see where Moncrief was vulnerable and making his throw accordingly, in just a second or two. these athletes are astonishing.
