  1. really dig the blocking on Brady's run at 11:10. Clercius cruises across the formation and completely erases the DE with a Bailey-style block. And Dobson just forklifts his man. Bully ball.
  2. damn, where is the concussion spotter?
  3. It's always fun to see Lapo break down a Bomber beatdown!
  4. TSN did have a decent all-24 breakdown of that play after the commercial, both strong side DBs jumping the short route like you describe and hanging the safety out to dry.
  5. one Suitor example that made me shake my head was after Lawler's second TD yesterday, Suitor was like "they should just line up roughrider stud Milligan against Lawler all game and let those two go at it." and that seemed like a pretty simpleminded take on the situation. if I'd read it on MBB I'd probably click the "ignore this poster" button. (unless committing your best DB to cover their best receiver man-on-man for the entire game is actually a solid call. I dunno, it sounded like a situation ripe for exploitation) edit: lol we both complained about Milligan simultaneously
  6. yeah, I'm not as hypersensitive about homerism as a lot of people here are, but still am no big Suitor fan. It's rare that I hear something insightful from him and it drives me crazy how he sells out for the predetermined game story. That's a terrible flaw in a league as wacky as the CFL. the game should drive the story, not the other way around. That might be coaching and not the player, though. I have no idea how closely the on-air talent is managed by TSN. anyone know? to be positive, I actually think that the quality of commentary on TSN is pretty high right now by historical standards. Marshal, Matty, Lapo, and Forde are all guys worth a close listen. Rod Smith is a solid game manager kind of play-by-play guy and I appreciate Dustin's enthusiasm and think he's going to evolve into a guy who can deploy his freakouts thoughtfully.
  7. and Kevin Eiben is their DC.
  8. You guys clown our punter .... makes me think of the last time I watched the bombers play a grey cup at BC place, our punter was Jamie Boreham .... he liked to challenge our cover teams with line drive punts right between the hashmarks..
  9. Careful with your prayers; the bc place dome stands in defiance of the wind and weather gods. it is the scoreboard god who rules that place. She hungers ... for chipped footballs.
  10. Same gameplan we used against Montreal in game 18 ... Als started out by stacking the box on every 1st and 10 so Zach threw it over their heads until they loosened up a bit and then you saw Brady get his carries. Classic CFL where you throw to set up the run.
  11. I know @O2L and @kelownabomberfan are gonna be there. I'm sitting way the hell up in Section 443, Row FF, Seat 101.
  12. Hey everyone I didn't want to mention it because it felt like a jinx, but my Grey Cup tickets are in section 443 and I hope to see lots of blue out there next week...
  13. Kramdi like a missile!
  14. that's almost as puzzling as the short kick that Ottawa did last week...
  15. Kelly now 2/8 for 26 yards and two picks. seems like he's mixed up, he's allowed to throw passes, he's just not allowed to make passes.
  16. Farjado having accuracy issues, he's missing routine throws. I know we dump on the guy but it seems like he's playing well below himself today.
  17. nice crossing concept by the Als vs the Argos man coverage ... run the crosser right in front of the goal post, he comes out super clean on the other side. Looks like Bad Chad is in full effect.
  18. all of the most annoying sounds in the CFL are now in Percival Molson Stadium.
  19. Fajardo is not playing up to his usual standards. both the throws he's missed I've seen him hit easily.
  20. That was Lapo era stuff, wasn't it?
  21. if you look at our recent game vs. Montreal, on 1st and 10 the Als were always putting a lot of bodies into the box because they figured our O would run thru Brady. But instead we let Zach sling it downfield and he had one of his better games this season. (If you look at the game thread, you'll see lots of posters were irritated that Brady didn't get a ton of touches in the first half of that game.)
  22. yeah, kudos to BLM for bouncing back from being benched and for making the back half of the TiCats season interesting ... thought he was done the past few years but he made throws this year that I thought were long behind him ... but he couldn't get his team into the playoffs ... whereas if you subtracted our MOP we're not a playoff team.
  23. yup. truth is stranger than fiction because fiction usually has to make sense.
  24. can we add this to the MBB banner? this is the most apt thing I've read on the internet this month.
