  1. have you seen Rod Smith's post-pandemic hair? more like Rod White amirite. I think Rod Smith pairs really well with Dunigan. Dunigan gets to be his wacky four-beers-in self while Smith calls the action with the hushed tone of a funeral director. It's a good combo.
  2. Tait linked to this piece on him the other day:
  3. Necessary medicine. Bombers aren't the champs if the Als and Argos don't expose Hecht like they did.
  4. BLM twilight? Certain posters disagreed, but evidence mounts.
  5. That push-off was on a turnover, so both the onfield and replay officials missed it, but Dickenson didn't have his timeout, so he couldn't even appeal their miss. Mike Reilly came out slinging the ball like it was 2015. He had a monster 61-yard throw from one hashmark to the other and his receivers caught everything marginal he threw, so yeah, you missed some stuff. And watching BLM play like TJR was entertainment of a sort. Game definitely lacked some polish, tho.
  6. that sure looked like a push-off
  7. Should've kicked the fg there. Two-score game with not a lot of time remaining... burned almost a minute to make their fg shorter by 6 yards.
  8. not a lot of touches in that O behind Adams, Harris, Demski, Strev...
  9. that Bo ain't right.
  10. can't see a solution tho. no way to guarantee that anyone who's on the roster actually plays any number of snaps, guys do pull up lame in the warmup. #iamverysmart
  11. don't like Durant as a receiver, seems like he has poor football instincts ... he makes a bad curl back needing a first down and last week he totally gassed a scramble drill where he had all kinds of room to go deep.
  12. BLM always made his hay in the summer when the sun was shining ... if he's struggling like this with nice weather, what's he going to be like when the weather gets bad?
  13. After 2019 I would've kept Grant too. Gamebreaking returners are hard to find. But look at the bright side: it's been a long time since our castoffs went elsewhere and became stars. Geroy Simon is the last one I remember. Would love to see the Canadian Mafia take on the Wally Buono role where they are recruiting so much talent they can't keep it all...
  14. Reilly on pace to pass for 700 yards a week after showcasing a linguini elbow...
  15. who throws cross-field 61 yard passes on a rope tho?
  16. cortisone is a hell of a drug
  17. they got an American on the practice roster already.
  18. Mike getting lots of time to operate in the pocket ... Calgary seems to be dropping everyone back and daring him to try his arm.
  19. Mike Jones at cover linebacker.
  20. PREGAME Week 2 BC @ Calgary hoser quarterback-- make ready your stones and sling! Goliath awaits.
  21. Tonight, BC @ Calgary (Calgary -1.5) Rourke starting per depth chart, for what that's worth. Mike Reilly was limited in practice all week and is questionable to play, but is listed as the backup. For what that's worth. Takeru Yamasaki remains at PK after missing two short field goals and a convert in the game the Lions lost by 4; the Lions do have import kicker Stefan Flintoff on their practice roster. For the Stamps, Ka'deem Carey returns at starting tailback after a horrendous fourth quarter that sparked the Argo comeback last week. Whoever books this stuff has Calgary favored by a measly 1.5 points, which seems kinda low to me, but I am not much of a gambler. cfl.ca was 6-0 Stamps MBB was 37-3 Stamps Just like those tall brains above, I picked Calgary in the pickems, which means that Rourke will absolutely go off on them and the Lions will cruise 45-18. I have a perfect record to preserve!
  22. Yeah the whole "can the elks possibly give this one away?" thing in the fourth quarter was pretty compelling, a welcome relief from the lapo/Nichols football malpractice storyline of the first three quarters. Thank you Abdul Kanneh, new favorite non-bomber. That said, I spent a lot of the game on a second screen searching for dink jokes to post in the game thread. Growing up rural taught me to make my own fun
  23. I will take the excellent puppy rescuer Brady Oliveira.
  24. def want to see him sign a one-day contract and retire as a Bomber. Was also hoping the Bombers would get a chance to present him with his ring pregame when the redblacks came to town but alas the gaps of the14-game pandemic schedule.
  25. got curious so I hit up newspaperarchive.com...yeah, it was a wind game. looks like they figured they'd get more distance placekicking into the wind rather than punting.
