  1. Argos played that last minute of the half like it was garbage time, Law Firm dinking and dunking efficiently. whoah, the Northern Pikes! They were my favorite band in Grade 12. yikes, they got old.
  2. Wow, Khari goes from OC to co-GM / HC / OC in the space of 5 weeks. #onlyinthecfl I don't remember #thanksjoemack but I do remember #IMWT from back in 2010 and 2011. Will Montreal trust Mack this time out? Mack seems to have done ok as a player personnel guy in Montreal, they've brought on some legit rookie American talent during his run -- Stanback, Bray, and Lewis at least. Khari's just gotta keep him away from the draft table.
  3. power rankings are stupid, but I think that BC belongs at the bottom of any power rankings this week. They just looked flat and disinterested against Edmonton, while the Argos still showed some fight even after it was 31-0.
  4. I'm surprised they're still airing that dude in commercials. He got pinched for an advanced DUI in Texas last year -- getting arrested after he passed out behind the wheel in traffic.
  5. After the Als / blacks game 300-yard QBs are 6-7 this season. (edit) and after Stamps / Ticats, they're 6-8 this season.
  6. A strange game for 2019 -- a QB passes for 300 yards and his team wins. Als vs Edmonton looks like the game of the week next week.
  7. He's got a three score lead now, bet it's Stanback from here on out.
  8. Great to see Adams playing well, but he's playing against the team that gave up nearly 400 yards to Cody Fajardo. Man there are some bad secondaries in the league this year. You gotta wonder how Pipkin beat Adams out of training camp.
  9. very nice 95 yard drive -- feels like a decisive moment in the game. TSN puts an iso camera on the safety Pruneau and immediately Montreal goes run-heavy, leaving TSN to use half their screen showing Pruneau running towards the LOS to no good effect. Directing ain't easy!
  10. 50 yarder. Has hit 61 straight.
  11. no Redblack within 25 yards of Bray -- as far as busted coverages go, that's a 46FF
  12. Montreal not a good enough team to get away with giveaway TDs like that.
  13. Yeah, the new commentator sounds pretty good. VA Jr looks like a young QB -- one play everything is crisp, the next he's throwing a floater into 4x coverage..
  14. Really pulling for a Montreal win here. K. Jones returning that program to respectability would be a great thing to see.
  15. MBT out there like Kerwin Bell, putting up some serious garbage yardage tonight.
  16. man, that's the mark of a baaaad team, going 2-and-out after a gift turnover like that because a receiver can't snag a well-placed pass.
  17. Argos one of the worst CFL teams I've ever seen -- they're like a jeep with four flat tires and a pound of sugar in the gas tank. Still I've got worries that if Bombers get cautious on O and let em hang around the game could be much closer than expected.
  18. Huh, Jeff Hecht targeted only twice? Are teams never throwing at him? Or are we hiding him somehow?
  19. TiCats get Stanbacked last weekend and yet somehow 5/6 of the cfl.ca writers picked them to beat the Stamps? I don't get it.
  20. The one thing I really notice in terms of player skill level between the two leagues is that the NFL tackling seems way better. I notice many many more broken tackles in the CFL. I dunno, this might be because of the smaller field, making it easier for the D to rally to the ball since they're not as spread out -- but my impression is that most one-on-one situations in the NFL result in a tackle, whereas in the CFL it's not nearly as sure a thing.
  21. Hey, here's an interesting thing I read in, of all places, a Friesen column: funny/weird thing was, we lost both those games. Man, the 2005 Bombers were a brutal team.
  22. Streetheart or GTFO
  23. yeah, this is a great thread title, nice work
  24. Gifted a turnover at a critical time, let it slip away. Just a bad, bad, bad team.
  25. real interested to see what Franklin does -- I don't think he's as bad as we saw against Hamilton, I don't think he got a lot of help from his OL in that game.
