in her position, I'd be thinking about Year 2, because I'd be worried about ZC suffering a career-ender in 2020 and being a free agent by cutdown day, not even cashing his full 2020 salary and not cashing any more QB money ever, because football treats its players like complete ****. I've got lots of friends who do lucrative but unreliable freelance work and having that stable income from the partner is the thing that makes it work at all.

Loved watching Hobart as a kid, he made a lot of exciting things happen on the field. He's not nearly as physically dominant as Streveler, but he was definitely big for an 80s QB and he could sure run in the open field. The last thing he did in the CFL was back up Damon Allen in Ottawa. Whenever Allen went cold the fans would get on him by chanting HOOOBART. I've heard that Hobart actually encouraged the fans from the sidelines. Gotta wonder what that did to the room. Here's some Hobart playoff action, in 1985 he absolutely destroyed the Concordes in the EF throwing for 400 yards and five TD passes. He was a career 49% passer but just could not miss on this day. Also watch for young Wally Buono turning up as a coach on the Concordes sidelines. He looks about fourteen years old. Didn't work so great the next week, though. Started the Grey Cup as a rookie and Don Matthews' bunch humbled him.

Tracy Ham was a killer rushing QB in the 80s-90s. Owns three of the top five single-season QB rushing records, hit 1000 yards 2x and 998 once. Before him there was Ken Hobart, but Hobart was more of a 1-dimensional player.

yeah, at times Collaros reminded me of Clements too. Tommy wasn't the fastest or strongest, especially compared to a modern QB, but he was like an eel in the pocket and could throw dimes on the move.

The Chapter 3 moment when every lowlife's comm buzzes at the same time and you realize half a second later what's to come ... that was a fantastic moment. The bit with Carl Weathers and the bar of mando-metal at the end was a nice touch. I'm really digging how underexplained it is. But I'm also really curious about the whys and hows and etc of the "all but one of us are underground at any time" Mando thing. Is that like just on this one planet or is it something the Mandos do all across the entire galaxy? And it's kinda weird to bring something like that up and then throw it away almost immediately like they do, although the scene where the Mandos reveal themselves is pretty dope looking.

in the dopamine blast aftermath of the WF win I was seriously considering driving to Calgary for the Grey Cup (about 12 hours one way, without considering the border) But the last time I saw a Bomber win live was in Ottawa in 1996. Since then they are something like 0-12 in games I've watched from the stands. So I am staying the hell away.

you know the guy who could've had a monster game but came just short? Sayles. Aside from the miffed pick late in the red zone, there was another big moment in the second half where the greenies ran a sweep to their right. Sayles came at that play like he was shot out of a goddamn cannon, he was moving too fast to block, he got at least one hand on the ball carrier... ...who slipped away, reversed field, and ran for a first down. Dude is a freak athlete but kinda lacks finish, reminds me of Brandon Stewart in that way.

I need to go back and look at Streveler's snaps -- don't recall even one play where we used sideways motion to widen the D and make some room for him to run inside. And others in the game day thread noted that Harris wasn't in the backfield for a lot of those plays, so no option play potential there. My impression was that Lapo hung second-biggest Chris out to dry on Sunday.

Medlock has hit his last 20 attempts. Hasn't missed in almost two months, including 8/8 in the playoffs, and has not missed a step with McGuire as his holder instead of Streveler.
