  1. heh, the other night the band was in and one of our guys was really pushing for us to play Planet Claire ... but in the end we just wound up soloing on top of Peter Gunn for like 20 minutes.
  2. really digging the heavier sound here, she sounds like some combination of Alanis Morisette and Marianne Faithful.
  3. As spleen-venter call-in guests go, this guy is a pretty good one. Coherent thinking shines through his rage.
  4. This is fun: http://3downnation.com/2018/07/05/rider-fan-calls-post-game-radio-show-loses-damn-mind/
  5. For Ottawa: Kyries Hebert is suspended and will be replaced by rookie Avery Williams. Trevor Harris will be looking to rebound after a rough outing against Calgary that saw the Redblack O go cold for extended stretches during the game. For Montreal: Jeff Mathews will start. Drew Willy is not on the 46. Tyrell Sutton, last year's league rushing leader, was humbled last week by the Roughriders' league-best run D, so maybe there's an bounceback opportunity there for him, facing a raw rook at MLB instead of Sam Hurl.
  6. I think Eddie Steele was their OL6 last week.
  7. Let's not be fussy! Football poetry is fun at any size.
  8. I wanna see Masoli go the distance in a blowout, keep Johnny Football watching from the bench. Wanna hear ESPN talk about how Manziel couldn't get playing time in Hamilton because he wasn't the best QB on the TiCats roster.
  9. Carter vs. Banks is gonna be something to watch ... Chris Williams exposed Carter's weakness against smurfy deep threats.
  10. if the GM refuses to sign any backup DBs, there's not a lot the coach can do...
  11. Both teams mostly standling pat from last week. Bridge starts and Carter is at CB for the Roughriders. John White draws onto the 46 for the Hamilton and Saskatchewan swaps out backup import OL Jarvis Harrison for import backup OL Takoby Cofield. Hamilton will have at least 7 OL on the game roster.
  12. This got 100% funnier once I zoomed in on Snoke. Still needs to have Rey busting out her credit card to pay for an Ancestry.com membership tho.
  13. This is from last week.
  14. 2018-06-29 Winnipeg at Hamilton never mind Bieber-- morningbigblue qbs yell for Hall to be f*****
  15. Don't drink much anymore, my tolerance for booze cratered sometime around when I hit 40, but I got a sodastream and I fizz all manner of stuff in it.
  16. The only plays that Harris really made last night came after the rain started.
  17. Harris did not look like Harris tonight. Lots of passes way off the mark.
  18. I like the Zero Fighters AFC. When they play the Hurricanes, it must be a real dogfight...
  19. Not in the summertime, they don't. Looking back to 2013, they're 14-4-2 in their first four games every season.
  20. Kennedy is the swing vote on a lot of cases, yes. He voted with the conservatives on election-related cases like Citizens United and Shelby (cases that allowed unlimited political spending and which defanged the Voting Rights Act) and voted with the liberals on sexual liberty cases like Lawrence v. Texas and Obergefell (which found anti-sodomy laws unconstitutional and mandated gay marriage nationwide)
  21. congrats to your son and his family! As someone who married an American girl and made my home here, I can vouch that it's a great way to live. Every so often I look at the ******* lunatic jackals running the federal government here and think about pulling up stakes and returning to Canada. But I've been here twenty years, I've got roots here now that are far deeper than the roots I've got left in Canada. So yeah, I feel that same person connection that you do.
  22. I wish Zach Collaros a speedy and complete recovery.
  23. furthermore on not being served in America: https://www.npr.org/2018/06/25/623307762/walgreens-pharmacist-denies-drug-for-woman-with-unviable-pregnancy In some states in the USA, a pharmacist's religion trumps their patient's health.
  24. Coates looked solid in limited action, played big in the playoffs. Was looking forward to seeing him this year, hope his foot heals quick and well.
  25. I remember when Rory Kohlert was our top Canadian. I was happy to have him on the team, i think he's CFL starter quality, but if he's the ceiling for national talent on your team, your GM has work to do
