  1. On the first deep shot to Wheatfall, Moxey is literally running the route, but not covering Wheatfall at all. But he's in the wrong leverage the whole time so he can't stay on that track to make the play when Wheatfall adjusts to ball to the inside shoulder. When QB reads a DB in bad leverage like that on man, on a vertical they are going to get toasted because the receiver just has to out run the DB.
  2. Last year the right side of our line couldn't pass protect. This year the left side of our line is struggling with assignments in run blocking. Hamilton picked up on Bryant cheating up to 2nd level on inside zone. We don't really run wide zone much, so the inside zone is our bread and butter. Hamilton blitzed very effectively to capitalize on Bryant's assignment weakness. We need to secure first level, the first 3-4 yards, before we're chasing guys 8-10 yards down field on play side. No one is practicing full contact after high school. Even high school it's basically summer camp and once you're playing games practices are light contact. Practice is basically about game planning.
  3. He was basically out of the game by the time they started stopping Mills. Didn't get any pressure either. Think we have a lot of guys who need to show some progression in real games on the DL.
  4. Wheatfall is in a nice spot as a 4th option in Hamilton. Had a year and a half here as a 2nd-3rd option and almost a full season with a chance to grab the ring as the top guy here. Just brutal non production. He's a pretty average receiver in this league.
  5. The PI/non-PI calls in this game were a huge turning point. Even with no D, Castillo makes his kicks and the refs don't smoke crack pre-game and it's basically a tied game.
  6. Only when Johnny Augustine ran out of bounds instead of taking the free 5 yards we were giving him for the first down.
  7. You can't play any version of man coverage with the level of cushion we're giving the slots on the same side of the field as Lawler. They are just working those matchups for 4 quarters over and over again.
  8. Nichols gives 15 yards of cushion to get beat on a corner. Gotta step up at some point. Need a play. Who the hell cares if you get beat deep at this point? You need the ball.
  9. Fletcher and Jenkins both got killed on zone reads for big plays in this game.
  10. His scheme has taken all the big plays out of the D. Like even with the same players. When we started having the breakdowns in losing the Grey Cups and not coming up with the big plays. Hall's D led the league for years in turnovers and basically sustained this team as a playoff contender with mostly average QBing from 16-19. Guys are so worried about being on the right route that they aren't even reacting to the ball in coverage. We'll only get an INT if someone volleys the ball up in the air.
  11. Our D don't know what the **** they are doing as they are lining up. Really need to simplify things.
  12. 10 or 11 still 2 possessions. Honestly don't think it matters this early IMO. Gotta do what they are confident in. Realistically everyone should be going for 2 a lot more often and practicing those plays.
  13. RTP again. No flag. Major is really brutal at the rough play stuff.
  14. They overturn that and a corner disrupting Wilson's route that leads to a INT in the endzone isn't PI. WTF
  15. Looks like Jim Daley is calling this defense.
  16. Jenkins struggling badly out there so far through almost 7 quarters.
  17. Vaval really passive on catching the ball this half. Going to cost us yards here with penalty too.
  18. Big pressure by Reese.
  19. Left side of OL blocks no one again.
  20. How the **** are we letting a kickoff hit the turf?
  21. This D just has no playmakers. 2nd level of the D is a total void against pass or run. Watch all BLM's completions and look where Kyrie Wilson is.
  22. I'd like to see more Reese, less Fletcher in 2nd half. Put Ceresna inside.
  23. That RTP should be automatic from the video official.
