2026 Bombers Season
Well we were waist deep in Canadian receivers, so much so we could use two 2nd round picks to pick a tight end 6 of 9 teams in the league had never even thought about.

2026 Bombers Season
I would bet we'll be dressing 7 OL and Daniels Week 1. LT Bryant LG Wallace C Elsbury RG Neufeld RT Broxton Eli and Vibert as backups Demski is probably going to be down, Peterson comes on for him and Cobb starts. We've really just given up on adding any playmakers on O out of the draft for years now. I think we'll have a really good OL. But we have nothing at receiver.

2026 Bombers Season
Tons of moves to come. Would need 7 DI slots to dress this roster.

PS Game #2
100% on Perkins. He's the ideal QB3 here at this moment. But he's got basically zero upside or potential to be a #1 in this league. He's Dan LeFevour or Streveler. He can run, he can make you pay with his arm on some improvised plays if you cheat, and you can maybe survive a couple games with him. He might get 300 yards of offense in a great game but probably only 180 of those will be passing. And if you're savvy as a OC/coaching staff you build a run pack around him.

2026 Bombers Season
I think the American kickers are in their last CFL season. Punters will be the most important players on the team starting in 2027.

New TV Contract
Well TSN on cable has almost 9 million subscribers just in Canada....which doesn't mean people are always on TSN, but they have it. Then add the TSN+ people. TSN+ also has a lot more value than DAZN. They are kind of in active competition over NFL, but either way Bell gets paid. DAZN has 20 million subscribers in the ENTIRE WORLD with almost all of them in Western Europe. It will be a lot of work to get people on DAZN for one CFL game a week. DAZN app itself needs a lot of work. I did one season for NFL on there and switched back to my cable provider for Sunday Ticket/RedZone because there would be weeks that I couldn't get most of the streams on DAZN to work. CFL will just be one stream at least so maybe they can handle that easier.

New TV Contract
If a league like the CFL is going to stream, they better go all in on it. Playing 3 games a week on cable and 1 game a week behind a paywall is just about the dumbest setup to get uptake. Can't compare to NHL or NFL selling individual games to Amazon or Netflix because those apps are ubiquitous....everyone has them. And they offer a lot. People buy the DAZN to watch one thing. So you need someone to care enough about the CFL's SNF to now download, subscribe, pay and keep finding it. So yeah it will be nice for the families of the players in the US (who actually get ALL the games on DAZN), but that's not a driver of revenue. This actively makes it harder for Canadians, the people who watch the CANADIAN Football League, to watch games. I don't dispute that the CFL is trying to exist in a broadcast environment in Canada that doesn't really support it's operation. There's two main broadcasters in Canada and they are both actively working to get out of producing live sports. Even more of a reason to actually take the gamble in a way that might work with a streaming partner. But I truly don't believe the future board chair of Bell running the league today is working in best interests of the league.

New TV Contract
Well if they are willing to cut their TV ratings in Canada by likely a half to 2/3 on the Saturday game for a few thousand potential US viewers they are even dumber than we think. They got one big cheque. Now Montreal and Toronto will only lose $12 million a year instead of 15. The celebratory self back pats can’t go on too long.

PS Game #2
Yeah that one handed pick six by a LB right off the line was a pile of ****. I think it's right to be excited about Elgersma. There's a lot to work with there. His numbers look like **** but we're talking like 8 drops in 2 games, a couple walk in touchdowns on big plays if the receiver finishes his route. Singer seems to be the guy getting the most raves, he made a lot of drops and struggles on the vertical routes.
-
PS Game #2
Fletcher is an American. Singer had a lot of drops in two games. But him and Fredricksen had a lot of targets. Have to think they are both sticking around. But not sure they'll be active. Womack is another receiver I think they might keep. Harrison is a steady returner, didn't really strike fear that he'd break one though. I liked the OL Williams at C. Ellsbury was good there too. Mazzccua had a lot of hype in camp, didn't see much in the games to separate. I honestly can't judge the OL blocking for Peterson because he's so slow to hit the line. Chris-Ike gave us some idea of what the OL is accomplishing, too bad Rocker didn't get any reps, hope he liked the food provided because he was up here for a month to get zero reps on film. Randolph was really bad at LT. Munier-Bailey and Gatkuoth look like decent situational guys, not sure what the ceilings are there. Don't seem to want to mix it up at all, not a lot of burst, like to get to their leverage and read. I think Reese easily could have passed Dixon in the games, but Dixon does have the versatility. Both should stick here. Could see Kelly getting clipped if we use 3 DI's on D which is possible IMO (Vaval/DB, Woodbey, DL) and with all the Canadian guys here looking a lot better on special teams and D (Stuart, Bouliane, Ball).

PS Game #2
QB rating, just a basic stat for being able to pass the ball. Like Rourke last year was a 112. Most CFL starting QB's are around 100. There's like one guy in the UFL this year up there, Jack Plummer who most would remember from Louisville. There's guys who have played in that league the whole time who just stink, like Jordan Ta'amu, Jalan McClendon, Luis Perez. Guys who have been up and down in that league but would look about as bad as Perkins has up here.
-
PS Game #2
Really bad. The QB play is terrible. It's unwatchable. I watch all the games in condensed packs, like just the plays. It's terrible. Like a guy with a 85 QBR is really good in that league. People are clowning on a guy like Maier in the CFL for being around 90-95. There's like 3 teams in the league that can consistenly pass the ball.
-
PS Game #2
He's going to be like Tommy Stevens.

PS Game #2
Personally think it's kind of nuts we aren't turning Daniels loose a bit. Like give him some reps out at Z and see if he can handle it, or use him out of the slot/backfield. Seems like he's only coming in as an inline tight end to block.
-
PS Game #2
I think Perkins is a legit run threat though. Kind of the ideal 3rd QB in this era, especially when the 2nd QB is also the developmental guy.
-
PS Game #2
There's the 35 second clock. Get the ball with 4:05, run one play, 3 minute warning.
-
PS Game #2
Reese is a player. Think he's separated from Dixon in the games. Dixon is stout at the line but did next to nothing rushing passer from inside or edge.
-
PS Game #2
Perkins throwing mechanics are just horrifically bad. Eyes got big there. Receivers and Perkins have easily left 150 yards on this field tonight.
-
PS Game #2
90% of these guys are cuts. And that's including the practice roster.
-
PS Game #2
Burrell didn't wait for the regular season to become Roc Carmichael.
-
PS Game #2
That last corner spot is going to be tough. Texada is the only guy who hasn't really got toasted in the pre-season games.
-
PS Game #2
Amazing that kids who spend their whole lives posting videos of themselves are so stunned to see themselves on a screen.
-
PS Game #2
Well our QB depth chart is set. Elgersma QB2, Perkins short yardage and panic mode QB3
-
PS Game #2
15 should hit the showers now.
-
PS Game #2
Let's seem some RPO stuff. This guy can't pass from the pocket.
