That block by 44 running to the line then diving at knees is illegal now.
-
Based on what he's calling lately he sure doesn't trust this secondary group to play aggressive.
-
Just no playmakers on the D for a very long time. Guys like Bighill, Alexander, Jefferson....doing nothing.
-
It's crazy. Like I get playing off if you get beat a time or two, but make the guy show you he can make a throw first. They are playing 12 yards off and just giving him that hook play for nothing on 1st and 10.

Have a free touchdown because our pass rush doesn't know how to play leverage to keep a running QB in the pocket.
-
The D right now is pathetic. Passive coverage making it easy for rookie QB to settle in. Why?

Former Bombers in NFL (and spring leagues) news

There were more than a few guys in the 80s and 90s who came direct from JUCOs like Sellers and Juran Bolden. CFL might scouting there more again and encouraging guys out to tryouts if the spring leagues continue. -

February of 2025 is when he'd be a CFL free agent. -

They haven't been "starting" 2 Canadians on D. They've been declaring 6 on O and 1 on D. Parker and Clements weren't designated last week for example. They could have subbed in on D as much as they wanted. They are putting Kramdi on the field because they want to. They chose to sit Darby, who also was not being used as a DA, and could have put him in whenever they wanted for Kramdi. I doubt that's O'Shea overruling Hall given Hall's tenure here and in the league. -

The DL isn't making any plays because they are totally gassed and that's obvious. There is more than one issue. You need a team effort to overcome when your QB isn't perfect. Collaros can put up a game that someone like Nichols could only dream of and we lose because the D has no ability to get off the field. -

The impact is who is coming up here in the first place. -

Hall's defenses here in general have been great at turning over the ball. That is what is missing this year, combined with offense turning the ball over and special teams too often losing field position battle makes the margin for this team to win games much slighter. It's mostly on the O to come out with points early. D has had a handful of dominant games but not a lot of big plays. Pass rush is not very impactful and coverages are not at all aggressive. -
I think a few of those decisions could have been made this past off-season. A little bit of a cruise control vibe to the team like they just have to turn it on for playoffs. The whole going easy one week and responding the next is kind of a tough one to me. But doesn't seem like the organization seems to fret about it. Like if we got a rematch with Hamilton next week we'd probably win by 40. But maybe we can play with that energy the first time. Don't really have the depth this year to pick up the slack.

Yeah I don't think we matchup great with Argos, and haven't been a good road team at all. Could very well end up 12-6 and hosting West Semi. Older crew seem to be losing steam. Hopefully bye can reanimate them. Aside from Banjo Bowl haven't come out too hot out of the gates. Picked it up in 2nd half in some games. Not sure we can continue that into Argos game and October against other desperate teams.
-
Based on how we've played on the road this season I'm not hopeful about our prospects to end up 1st in the West or get to the Grey Cup.
-
I mean on the field that's impossible. They should be able to have consistency in the video reviews.
-
Dyce handed the game over with that long FG attempt when he had control of the game. Give the Lions the ball inside their 10 needing to score twice inside 2 mins. Game over. Punt a rouge by accident. They need a TD, 2 point convert and FG to tie you. Opened the game up with the missed FG they didn't cover.
-
And they have no ability to run even though they have a running QB. Scheme is all drop backs. Can't bring that coaching staff back next year.
-
This one isn't going to OT. Ottawa completely let up in this 4th quarter.
-
That's what I mean. Should have a top notch run game with Crum. They don't.
-
Think they might kick deep. Ottawa has a running QB ffs. How do they not have any run game schemed up?
-
Yeah pin them or even if you get the rouge you make it 11.
-
Well...Dyce just fired himself. Should just put the headset down and walk away.
-
I'd like to see Hall start more aggressive and scale back than start so passive in terms of coverage and try to scale up the aggression. There are known entities for schemes and QB's and then there's guys like Powell and Crum. Force them to make throws, don't make it simple, don't sit back. No reason to fear their arms until they make you.
-
Way worse than Lapo. Just no adjustment for situation and too much reliance on Crum in pocket.
