  1. Neilson and Benevedes doing the radio. Sucks that can't get a home broadcast for the GC. Kick off is 5:38 Central
  2. There's never a ton of interest in head coaching jobs below a lame duck GM like O'Day was last off-season.
  3. There's at least 50 Tim Horton's. Some of them have the birthday cake Timbits. It's kind of insane over 30 years and how many producers involved that he's survived as the lead colour guy. Think of how drastically Bell is willing to cut and drop people. Yet somehow Suitor lives. He was in the booth before Stegall even played in the CFL. Generations of options of former players to replace him.
  4. Fewer and fewer as they basically remove special teams from their code.
  5. Bombers have given up 100 yards rushing (not to a single player, to a team) once since Bighill went out and it was in a game they won by 30 points.
  6. Turn on the air fryer.
  7. Derrick Doggett is still waiting for his shot to start on D. Once he gets it he'll only take 3 seasons to tie Adam Bighill in MODP awards.
  8. Neufeld needs to move his feet and remember he has arms. Lots of plays in that last matchup he's shoulder checking guys in pass pro and letting guys right into the pocket.
  9. 1 should be that he doesn't waste any energy running across the field. He always gets vertical right away and if he works to the sideline he angles and doesn't turn his hips. Most cover teams are covering width, not depth, and if you simply run past the first wave up the field instead of trying to out run the contain guy to the edge you have a chance to break a return. It's really hard to teach someone to run into potential contact and especially teach speedy guys to just not try to beat everyone to the edge as a first instinct.
  10. They've had multiple chances in the regular season to win games against us to host the final in each of the past 2 years. The failure there is deep. As it is in Sask but they are celebrating and blaming the wind in Montreal when we swept them in the back to back.
  11. You've defined insanity. 3 years in a row they've been the West Division champs in waiting. Maybe if they had a coach who knew how to properly assess risk they'd win.
  12. I like our halfbacks. Ento at corner. if you were trying to build the best secondary out of all the players in the league it’s probably all Bombers and Als.
  13. Bombers schemed all those up to flood Sask 3 deep and force them to cover man. Toronto doesn’t play as static of a D, Sask literally in same alignment and coverage 3/4 plays. I’m not sure either is even the best at their position. But INTs!
  14. The easiest thing for a QB to beat is straight up pressure. I think you'll see more of the approach they used against Rourke. Move him off first read and force him to eat the ball or turn it over.
  15. Two things I would be loading up for this game… On O, run a lot of zone read and have Collaros pull the ball. There’s no tomorrow and nobody expects him to run. Extend it to RPO too with some verticals on the backside he can hit if he has time to set his feet. There’s a couple big plays in that and if you hit them the Argos D will have to adjust and slow down their pass rush. On D, zone blitzes, specifically that dog look where Jefferson/Garbutt drop into the area Kramdi, Cole or Grffin vacate when they blitz. Arbuckle is going to be running a pretty simple vertical/between the hashes game in terms of downfield passes. Bait him into mistakes or to hold the ball.
  16. Arbuckle has basically been complete **** if Dinwiddie isn't his play caller. Dolegala is better.
  17. Most of those defensive plays 30 yards downfield after another bust. Sask’s D cost them a chance to make the Grey Cup and cost them several regular season games. Look at yardage and points against. Not a D that deserves any exceptional recognition.
  18. And how do you quantify the work the players do for the marketing money? Say you pay out $50,000....what quantifies $50,000? How many hours? How many new sponsors?
  19. Guy is talking like he’s Mahomes and not a C+ CFL QB.
  20. Especially since our average game with Argos is 15 to 12 this season against any QB they play.
  21. Given the time between you hear that and when the ball is snapped it doesn’t matter. You could hear it then watch the play and pick up on terminology but it’s basically not useful. The D doesn’t have time to gather the play call and realign itself before the snap. OL literally calls out who/what they are blocking every play. It’s more about execution. The one thing that would be useful would be the D calls for the offense. Like if Collaros/Buck knew when they were calling the play what coverage the D was in that would be huge. That’s what Belichick got caught snooping for.
  22. Those split blocks on zone runs are pretty lethal. Usually the end just stops when he realizes it's coming. Those two receivers motioning across hold his eyes too because he has to respect a potential hand off to one of them.
  23. Toronto often ran 3-4 RB's when he was there. I don't think he's an every down player.
  24. Well and Sask plays man not at all. The Bombers had success because they flooded one side of the field with verticals to force the DB's to cover man and take away the ability for them to read the ball, come downhill and make a play. And Sask didn't adjust at all. This isn't even a hard thing to explain to a casual fan on the replay. "See, these two go deep, inside slot runs a post and Lawler runs the over across the field wide open because all Sask DB's have to read this and drop into man." Or his other TD when they are in zone and both the corner-half jump the curl because they are reading Zach's eyes instead of the routes.
  25. Worst thing is stuff like the Milligan hype. Yeah good player. Nothing extraordinary. There's DB's in the CFL each year like that. So they run a bit about Milligan when Sask is already down 7-0 on a TD he had a nice view of. And then drop it as the Bombers torch their secondary repeatedly. So if you're going to use Milligan as a talking point....show us where he is. Explain to us what the Bombers are doing to beat him and the Sask secondary if they are worthy of that hype.
