  1. They always cut crews after Labour Day when amateur season starts.
  2. Ambrosie broke down Marino's suspension for Masoli hit as: 2 games for the hit and celebrating it 1 game for earlier hit on a lineman 1 game for racialized comments Shouldn't Robertson's flexing after dropping a QB after a play be at least 2 games on precedent?
  3. They don't trust the kicker.
  4. Really only if they make significant roster moves/trades which they haven't. He's on with Bauming or OB every so often.
  5. In the backshot they are showing on TSN now the Line Judge and Back Judge clearly see the headbutt because they come flying in and are there by the time Bombers OL meets Robertson. Need repercussions for that crew not being able to call that on field.
  6. Into the wind. Wonder who has the choice for 2nd half. No points into wind so far.
  7. Another ref issue. Believe Sask had 4 misconducts and only called a number on one of them. Was Major recording a number each time and just not announcing it? 2 misconducts = ejection so it's pretty important to get the right guy.
  8. Major's crew allows an exceptional amount of roughness and routinely loses control of games. McInnis crew struggles with applying rules correctly repeatedly. CC has had to intervene weekly. Going to be interesting to see which crew gets cut for playoffs, and terrifying that one of them will run a playoff game.
  9. Bring lots of Clif bars with you guys to Winnipeg, because you won't have a good time going out on the town Friday night.
  10. Milanovich is as enamored with max protect as Buck is lately. It's like 7-8 Argos vs 3-4 Ticats downfield. Can't expect to move the ball that much if you don't trust your OL ever to block 4 or 5. If you're a DC and you see a team running so much max protect, just never blitz and the game is over.
  11. Play zone against these shaky QB's and they can't do ****. We need to abandon man against guys like Dolegala. Don't make it easy.
  12. And not part of a football game at all. If Collaros had the ball and Robertson came through and speared him, at least part of a football play where there is consent for a level of contact like that. Still against rules of the game. But the play was long dead, no consent from anyone to receive contact like that. Far outside the parameters of sport.
  13. Collaros should file a report with Barney Fife and the Regina Police. Was an assault, not a football play. Do that to someone in a bar you'd get charged. Could end a career or worse in football equipment doing garbage like that. One game is nothing.
  14. Yeah that guy was nowhere close to down by contact. There was contact with receiver as ball arrived but no contact once the DB had it in his control after catching it. They are calling like amateur rules down when your knee touches contact or not.
  15. The current Calgary uniforms are hard to beat in hideousness.
  16. Seriously if the cost is 1 game for a slightly above average edge rusher to potentially KO top QB's in this league after the play....why not if you're a coach, player, franchise with no ethics? League needs to do way better. Meh, think he should have to decide if he wants to go out to The Keg on Friday night or hide in his hotel room. Accountability.
  17. One game is way too light. If he did that during the actual play one game would be fine. The fact it was so late, so unexpected, so aggressive and on a QB (seriously the people including Sanchez comparing this to linemen going nose to nose which happens all the time...absolutely ******* ignorant) should make it at least 4 games. If you can lose your composure to that extent outside of a football play you probably shouldn't be allowed to play. And of course it takes Robertson out of the game in Winnipeg so he avoids the accountability of dealing with both the team between the stripes and the community.
  18. But he was downfield in coverage. He wasn't running back thinking they were going to punt or something. Leave that vertical route and sit on top of Jones, Dolegala hits the vertical for 70 yards.
  19. Not only run the ball. Take advantage of defensive adjustment to the run. Get the ball out quick to guys who are against 1 guy in space and have less help because the backers are looking inside for Oliviera. Our whole run game is between the tackles, opens up width of field. Too focused on downfield passing, all or nothing right now. Should be dominating TOP, having 6-8-10 play drives up and down field.
  20. I don't think Parker should have left a vertical route to bracket Tevin Jones considering who the Riders QB is and his arm. That's 100% on Houston having the wrong leverage given the route combo the Riders played there to clear out space for Jones to hit that out. They did the same combo for Emilus as well and Houston stayed inside giving them a 20ish yard play. Houston needs to play the field corner. He's not getting around quick enough on the boundary. Yeah yeah 7 INTs...who the **** cares if you have 2-3 total and unncessary busts a game?
  21. Lawson tackled Dolegala and bumped his facemask on the way down. Wasn't primary point of contact, incidental and extremely ignorant to even mention in context of what Robertson did.
  22. Might be to accommodate some loss of speed too. But they could get another LB/DB type on for Jackson or at least a faster edge body type. BOLO isn't on punt team anymore. We dress 7 OL so that takes a guy out of special teams duty. To me looks like contain guy last night, Parker, is setting up way too far inside. Now not tracking ball well? Or by design? Can't know that. Always teach contain guy to keep ball on inside shoulder but they were for sure not doing that on kick side for punts last night. Sask ran almost exclusively field returns on kickoffs in 2nd half last night which really challenges wide contain and speed of cover team to adjust. They basically trap the wide contain man and cut up that vertical gap sort of like a stretch run play on offense. But any guy between there can't bust through and make the play if they get there quickly.
  23. Wade Miller was hot last night and seeked out the press. O'Shea called out league too. Unprecedented for this regime. They literally never complain publicly.
  24. Bump helmets, go nose to nose yeah. Not full on head butt someone. There's no precedent for this so nothing to really go off of. Even the Marino stuff was during play. If you're using that as a precedent it wouldn't play out well for Robertson.
  25. That was pretty exceptional. I've been playing, coaching and watching football for 30 years and I've never seen anything like that, and on a quarterback. I've seen guys go nose to nose all the time and bump facemasks. That was a full on headbutt and totally disconnected from any actual game play. Closest thing I can remember is when Burfict took a shot at Antonio Brown but that was still during play. I'm not surprised Dickenson didn't see it. Happened so late probably looking down at a play chart or something.
