  1. He was only dangerous with the RPO stuff. Now he's not really a threat to run all game. Can't pass well enough to just be a drop back passer. Evans came in 2 games put up yards in both, points vs Sask and a comeback to beat Ottawa on the road. They are under .500 with Fajardo starting, 2-0 with Evans.
  2. How the **** do you prep for another game with Fajardo as your starter? The guy not only can't help you win, he's actively handing over points every week.
  3. Montreal won't win more than 2 games the rest of the season.
  4. Montreal wins this game with a defensive scheme from this era and a QB who can make basic throws. Not even close. Why are you constantly going to run at Adams and give him single coverage across the field? Guy can't pass for ****, let him sit in the pocket all day.
  5. BC just getting pumped in the trenches but Thorpe constantly blitzing on passing downs.
  6. And Fajardo hands it back. 0 points.
  7. God TSN is so bad at production. Can they not figure out how to isolate audio so we don't have to hear these ridiculous horns in the stands?
  8. That Montreal DB had no hope to cover Whitehead. Montreal playing right into Adams game with the cover 0 there.
  9. 2 plays in a row Montreal should have picked off, one a big play for BC.
  10. Agreed. I couldn't watch their version of SC when I wanted just to know what happened in sports. It's funny TSN runs a separate version of SC against Jay's every night and on the morning loop so I guess I'm not alone. I do enjoy his NFL coverage though, and their podcast stuff over the years. Fajardo can't hit the intermediate stuff. Quick slant, screen, or deep.
  11. Yeah, I think her inspiration is Jay and Dan because that's the environment she came up in. When they were absolute stars and on their way to the US. Kind of like Fajardo trying to run Mahomes playbook. You can call the play but really only the one guy can execute that act, I say one guy because to me it's always been mostly Jay. Dan is just a great straight man.
  12. There is nothing worse than a comedy schtick that is both unfunny and lacking self-awareness.
  13. TSN has a few on their roster, but mostly relegated to SC or Women's sports. Not really sure why Beirness ever got the big push up into hosting NBA and CFL, or even the 11 PM Eastern SC before that. The sideline reporter Kenzie Lalonde in this game is quite strong at both PBP and studio hosting for hockey. Laura Diakun, little more of a pro than Beirness, let the analysts shine, no schtick.
  14. I expect those two guys to be gone, Mitchell especially. Harris might get a backup gig behind one of the young guys somewhere. A bunch of the younger guys will be on the move. There's no single contract out there that will stop teams from getting in on the action aside from Collaros and Kelly. The guaranteed money thing is basically meaningless if the guy can't get it done. Edmonton will drop Cornelius, Mitchell and Harris will be gone. Only like 1/3 to 1/4 of one season of their deals is guaranteed. I expect Hamilton to stick with Powell, but if Calgary cuts Maier, Brown is a free agent. They'll be in the mix. Everyone will be in the mix for the guys they want with the younger QB's because the guy they have is on a rookie deal, like Ottawa with both Crum and Adams. If they want Brown, those two guys don't stop them from making a play for him in free agency. If they landed him, they'd deal one of the other two.
  15. Where did Harris and Mitchell come from this year?
  16. Special teams.
  17. Fajardo is likely to lose his job again before the end of this season. They have not been able to score points with him or run the ball because teams don’t respect him as a runner or passer. Evans played and they piled up points. No obligation at all. Do you think a team would rather pay $150,000 to break a contract or keep a useless player around for another $450,000?
  18. I’d be surprised if more than 4 teams keep their existing QB situation into next season. Winnipeg and Toronto are for sure. Everyone else will be looking at improvements including BC depending on how their season ends. There will be 5-6 teams in the QB market.
  19. All prorated by 18 games of course. Augustine is paid for the year now anyway. 120-70 is 50
  20. Put the number down then. Neufeld all in this season will be around $160,000. He's hit roster bonuses and will hit playtime ones, he's already banked about $15,000 on top of his base for those. Gray is in the Oliviera range, $115 hard with some roster and playtime incentives. Also a free agent after this season and with the shitty OL play (Sask is paying far worse players a bunch more) around the league he'll be more in the Neufeld range next year. Chungh for example all in is up around $200 k. Dobson they only have to increase if they are extending him. He's in his option year next year.
  21. Dobson is option year of his rookie deal next year. $75,000 hard money. Eli already on the books. Neufeld all in with roster bonuses and housing pushing $160,000. Bryant up at $190,000. Hardrick $160,000 with incentives. If Neufeld goes we already have the replacement here, likely replacing that 7th OL spot with a kick chasing draft pick backup LB/DB/receiver/RB at $71,000. $160 - 71, so about 90,000 hard money. Darby on his free agent deal from Hamilton still. Walters pushed BA's bonus money into 2022 and signed him to a full hard money deal for less this year to cover that off. Bailey has incentives that he will hit for playing snaps and being on the roster. Augustine next year with minimum rising will be about 50-55k difference if replacement is a draft pick. Augustine won't hit any of his offensive play time bonuses but hit all the roster ones. He's in the $115,000 range with that. If it's a vet will be less savings.
  22. I think in the last two drafts there's 3 OL playing regularly in the CFL this year. There's a lot of NFLers in there and a bunch deferred. This will be the first somewhat normal draft after the pandemic.
  23. It would be crazy to me if they didn't. He has no role in the offense for that amount of money and is not a good special teams player. Calgary was going right at him and walling off the contain main on the kick side for punt. There's lots of Canadian backs around too. Would be nice to have that H back type guy who could be passable in the backfield if really needed, at least manage pass protection if Oliviera had to go out.
  24. Oliviera about $115,000 with roster/housing plus some incentives. Augustine is about $110,000 with his roster/housing bonuses, don't think he'll reach any other incentives. 50-55k saving if it's a rookie Canadian. Less if it's a guy further along his career. Mike Miller is another one opening up some money they might be able to use this year. He's about $100,000 after housing.
