Was frustrating that there was no real competition. They knew Liegghio struggled to do all 3 jobs the year before. They kept Mourtada around but sorry that guy was a joke at this level. Nowhere near good enough as an American to play as a kicker. And in the end it cost the team. Liegghio blew it with poor punting and placekicking in the biggest game. Maybe his punting would have been fine if that was his only job. Powell looks alright. Not super athletic or decisive in getting out of the pocket, but good arm, reasonable decision making with arm. Defense looked absolutely stupid coming out in man coverage vs Ford letting him both run all over them and hit the deep shots. 2nd half went more zone and Ford did basically nothing. Not a lot of compete on that Hamilton D vs the run.

I also don't understand why you would pull maybe the best running QB in the league off the field for short yardage. Teams are so stuck right now on running that wedge play that they miss opportunities to do the kind of stuff Lapo did with Streveler.

I'm not too sure what advantage film on Brown will give anyone. He ran the Bombers offense with no limitations. His read fakes are a bit more impactful on the rushers/backers because he's not always looking to boot right away and he might actually run himself. Other than that pretty much the same as Collaros. Guy can make every throw, they aren't trying to shelter him at all. A little more sturdy in the pocket and willing to hang in there which might be his youth and not taking so many hits as Collaros has over the past decade.

I think the D has been searching for that spark all year tbh. Hasn't been more than a 3 quarter street fight outside of the BC game here when Collaros blew their doors off.

He basically never played special teams here until the game here vs Edmonton when he got bumped down the depth chart. Parker is also a guy that can play every spot down to SAM in the secondary. Return kicks to some extent, don't really trust him with punts, but also a weapon as the wide contain on punt team with our funky punter.

No reason why they couldn't drop to 3 DL and play 7 DB's too, rush backers, rush DB's. Have a bit more speed out there. Play a 3-2-7. Bring Alexander down, play 2 high safeties and just sit on top of everything. Calgary mostly after YAC, don't go vertical much. On the returner front...would be nice if they brought a guy or two in for a PR look. Grant should be back but do you want to line up in November with McCrae or Parker on punts? Not me.
