You're discounting the ability of Craig Dickenson to give an inspirational speech to change his mind. -

Yeah I guess what I'm saying is someone more on the receiver side to backup Demski and Wolitarsky. To my mind when Alexander is ready to go I'd prefer he take McCrae off the roster. McCrae doesn't do anything on special teams but be the second KR guy, but I feel like they have him on because of his potential utility on O if someone goes down. -

Nah. Wolitarsky is huge when they go to max protect. Bailey and Agudosi are nice pieces but they are well down my list in terms of down after down guys that need to always be on the field. If all those guys are healthy you're basically rotating Bailey, Agudosi, maybe Ellingson and Schoen even to get them a few snaps off per game so they can go 110% when they are on the field, but basically Bailey/Agudosi would be a platoon for me with Wolitarsky, Ellingson, Demski, Schoen being out there most plays. -

Think Agudosi being back will be a 2023 question. But if we had Agudosi back or wanted to beef up the receiving core with Harrison over McCrae that's an easy swap in. Use the extra import receiver as a DI. I would like to see the Bombers bring in either a Canadian back or receiver who could contribute to backup Demski/Wolitarsky/Oliviera -

I'm glad he played well enough in 19 to convince Sask to give up Collaros. -

Great article on Wolitarsky in the Free Press today. -

Yeah if he was ready it's an easy swap in for Parker. We'd still be starting 8 NI's even if he slides in front of Hallett on the chart. -

That's a nice depth chart even with some great players on the injured list. No holes there. I'd like to see a bit of Brian Cole on D. Looks fast af on special teams. Bet he could play some safety/rover role on 2nd down and come downhill at some receivers with punishment. -
Where's Gary Crowton these days? Maybe Lapo can bring him in to call some plays for the Redblacks.

They think he's Lyle Alzado but he's not a good player and they aren't winning. -
NFL now is just pass rush vs pass blocking, then who has the better QB. I don't think MOS brings a lot of value there. I guess the template for him would be Ron Rivera. Maybe Staley. But 90% of the next big thing coaches are supposed QB whisperers.

There's a bit of a cautionary tale there though with the success the first time through the league not continuing when there was a bit more of a tailored plan available on how to challenge the QB's strengths. -
I'm hoping he turns it around so Pinball isn't giving O'Shea a call in December.

Arbuckle has a top 5 arm in this league today. I'd take him over almost anyone outside of Collaros or Rourke if I was building a team. I feel like the coaches have issues with him for some reason, maybe BLM rubbed off on him a bit. He's almost above the mediocrity of the situations he's been in. Thought Toronto would have worked out nice with Dinwiddie.

I remember the day of that firing very well because I was driving from Toronto to Ottawa and saw the news when I got wifi while going for a whiz at a 401 rest stop near Kingston. Buchko was just a born loser. Mack was an alright personnel guy but couldn't run a team, especially one with no leadership beyond the football operation. -
Yeah I think that plan made sense with Arbuckle, more of a pocket gun slinger. With Cornelius/Ford I'm not sure they are even good enough to need the elite receivers.

Lawler is such a bizarre situation. Say the Elks are good and he has a good year. There's no chance in hell they are going to keep him at his current salary beyond this season. So is it sour grapes for him to take a pay cut? He's basically just there on a one year plan for one of the highest paid players in the league.

Yeah the height thing won't be an issue if a guy is mobile. I wonder about his accuracy personally when I watch him play. Fine when he's gunning it downfield to guys who are wide-open vs the blitz or to guys with huge catch radius to adjust to. But if the D takes that away can he drive down the field throwing 10-20 yard passes? Have really only seen the Bombers and Hamilton challenge him and he hasn't lit them up. Going to be more pressure on that accuracy and less field to work with in the NFL. -

Has anyone seen Harrison in a Bomber uniform or is he just imaginary? -

What’s with 3down lately and posting articles that are basically summaries of Rod Pederson podcast interviews? -
Calgary’s offense is looking pretty awful. They really need to start relying on the ground game more but they sure don’t have a back that can take more than about 12-15 carries in a game before he’s injured. I’d like to see the Bombers challenge BLM to go downfield more the next time we play them. Could be a laugher like the 19 WSF if they do.

Not assholes but extra to the point that it could be seen as disrespectful. Like Jefferson intercepted a pass last season, stopped at the goal-line and tried to hand it off to a teammate. That kind of stuff. -

Yeah the era of instilling fear is over. Guys mostly fear getting beat and watching that on film post-game. You can’t actually purposefully attempt to hurt people anymore. Marino particularly is averaging about 30 yards in penalties a game this season. So if he made 3 sacks a game for a 10 yard loss that’s the kind of contribution he’d have to make to account for his own stupidity, just to even it out. He has games with multiple offsides too it’s not just the rough play stuff. He’s just not a very good player. TBH I think that was accurate. Everything changed with #5 and Hardrick, guys like that. Osh softened on the view that everyone has to be robotic on the field, on the sideline, in the media.
