Sask coaching staff have to adjust their gameplan to actually having a QB who can pass.

That was an example of a safety who was where he needed to be but then felt anxious and decided to cover the top of a route that wasn't even there.

I don't know why every team isn't running some version of an option package too with one of their backup QB's. The wedge play is really relying on the OL winning the line of scrimmage which isn't always going to happen, option package gets your guys working in a bit more space and puts more pressure on the D.

Ligament injury I'd guess, high ankle sprain. Tough recovery and never really right again after those. In good hands though with Couture. Maybe that'll make him want to re-sign.

At least he finished his first game. Greg Carr had almost 200 yards and then was injured in that game. In and out of the lineup constantly. That body type just doesn't hold up well. Probably should put Agudosi at boundary WR and keep him outside the hashmarks if we want him to last (next year).

And we dressed two imports on offense who basically didn't play last night. Maybe we can make a deal with someone to grab a backup Canadian receiver and scrap heap another one so we can actually use all our import spots. Personally would love to flip one of those spots back to D, either DL or secondary. Seems like Ungerer out of favour in Hamilton...maybe can be had for a 8th round pick. We also could use a legit import running back. Doesn't seem like they want to use McCrae on anything other than sweeps.

Schoen is 100% a NFL guy. Size, speed, smarts. Hard to believe he got up here to start with. I guess kind of cursed by playing in a run first O in college. He’d be a great guy to have as a 3rd or 4th receiver for a NFL team because he’ll be able to play any spot X, Y, Z. Bet he’d be a good gunner too if he wasn’t one of the top 3 receivers. Yeah Zylstra a little more physical and runs his routes that way, kind of a tweener between receiver and tight end in the American game. Honestly wish we’d look more at guys who are tight ends in the states or that athlete type up here instead of having Wolitarsky try to fill that role half the time. We bring in a lot of the 5’10 to 6’ stocky fullback types to chase kicks but we could actually use a tight end.

His effort on the kick returns was laughable. I can’t imagine they’d dress him again. He’s so far past beyond being done as a useful player if he ever was one with the personality disorder.

Jones brought all the undisciplined losers he had in Sask 5 years ago to Edmonton. They definitely aren't as good at football and they are still idiots. Certainly wouldn't inspire hope for me as a EE fan.
