  1. Maybe Ross wanted a bonus for each time he does a back flip while holding a press bar with 200 LBs of weights on it.
  2. Fewer subs…hydrate. https://kentstatesports.com/sports/football/roster/jamal-parker/11019 Background on Parker…high event guy and kickoff returner too. Almost reminds me of Demond Washington. 5’8 175
  3. Receiver in, DE out, Parker in for Holm, Lavigne takes O’Leary Orange spot
  4. Looks like they are dressing another DB/LB type in the Canadian spot. Offense is getting pretty thin on game day, can’t really lose anyone.
  5. He got into a rut with shoulder injuries. Came back with Calgary and blew his ACL at the old stadium here on kick coverage. Lapo actually almost signed him that year, 2010.
  6. He’s active plus BC would just have to activate him if he was on PR which they can do easily now with injuries.
  7. Entitled to representation to spell out his rights and ensure they are followed, but there's already strong recent precedent for the league to ban immediately and ongoing registered contracts for certain players who had off the field conduct that they felt tarnished the league, even without charges and/or before convictions. This incident crosses the line to off-the-field conduct with the race based trash talk and behaviour after the play, if the on-the-field conduct isn't enough. Still can't believe Riders are willing to die on this hill. I knew the older Dickenson was a moron who wasn't fit to be a head coach but this is crazy. Can't believe the CFLPA will be as stupid.
  8. If you’re a free agent and you’re getting pitched by Craig Dickenson and Mike O’Shea the choice should be pretty easy if you’re a football player.
  9. And Marino is a pretty marginal CFL player. Like if the nutcase was one of maybe 10 Canadians you have on your team who can start and play a prominent role maybe you defend him like this. You could cut this guy and dress some DL off your PR and have zero effect on winning and losing. If anything probably have a better chance of winning because you lose his 20 yards of penalties per game.
  10. Dickenson says in his weekly show that Marino basically couldn't exist in the locker room last season and is doing so much better now that they can't turn back on all that progress. Good lord if that doesn't tell Rider fans how rotten their football operation is I don't know what will.
  11. Ended every play for how many consecutive diving into some Redblacks legs...non-intentional. Really don't get why an organization or a coach will burn all their credibility for an average American DT.
  12. When Streveler swung his proverbial ******* and cock slapped a whole province. NVM was thinking 2019 Banjo Bowl.
  13. He's still waiting on evidence Biden won Arizona too. Half of the segments on his shows are about how much he wants to "love" Trudeau. Just an awful person to be associated with a league that needs real focus on the game.
  14. One thing the Riders need to do is get their players off of Twitter, or at least get them to not comment on this issue on Twitter.
  15. Lots coming up, all depends on opportunity. Luke has charted a path that hopefully more guys get back to for CFL opportunities which is playing 3-4 years of junior then going to U Sports. The problem is all these guys go to U of M and don't play at all for 3 years, there's only a few who play in those first few years, guys on the field mostly 4th and 5th years. Junior is the way to go whether it's BC or with the Rifles, easier to get playing time with Rifles but coaching quite a bit more development based in BC. The scouting in BC is national too so if guys go there for 1-2-3 years they are still getting scouted by the OUA and Atlantic schools. We have quite a few guys in the OUA right now, some went right out of high school some went through BC first. The next Canadian QB coming through is from Winnipeg but playing for McMaster, Andreas Dueck.
  16. Yeah and the player isn't exactly Doug Brown. Why bother with all this? Cut the guy and bring the next one in.
  17. No other QB in this league right now has an arm in the same realm as Collaros. Rourke can throw rainbows if he has time to torque his entire body. Collaros can throw a 35 yard rope that lands like a pillow on a full roll to his left as a right handed QB like the 2nd Schoen TD. Fajardo or Harris or MBT can't make that pass with unlimited time in a clean pocket.
  18. Great add. Like an extra draft pick. Get him in camp before he goes to college to become draft eligible, finally use our territorial exemption. I was coaching in the U16 tryouts/Blue and Gold game when Luke came in off the street, literally had not played football, as a 14 year old Grade 8 and almost made the team against a bunch of guys who had played through their grade 10 year with private coaches and the machinery of schools like St Pauls, OP, VM. Maybe doesn't seem like such a feat but even all time greats like Demski and Harris barely played in high school until they were in Grade 11. He's a natural football player and he's only improved as a receiver in the last 7-8 years with development. Would not be surprised to see him dressed to chase kicks and backup on offense this week.
  19. Didn't think the play with Robertson was intent to injure. It was an OL finishing a play. It was a legal block, Robertson was in kind of an awkward position trying to move forward between the blocks and got his foot stuck under him. I guess now there's sometimes a penalty called for being too far from the ball.
  20. I think Taylor is our worst guy this season by far. He’s constantly in recovery and getting picked on brutally.
  21. If you’re BC and all of your receivers are healthy, does Whitehead even get on the field? They can line up across the board with 6’2 and up guys who can also run by.
  22. Because that’s the primary job of everyone not rushing the QB in a league where 70% of the offensive plays are passing.
  23. It was pretty conclusive in my eyes. The ball is clearly on the turf under Houston. Couldn’t have been a fumble by Houston because it was after contact with Banks and the ground. Banks also drags it across the field when he has it. So INT or incomplete. The only reason why that play has a chance to be a TD is because of an incorrect call on the field and the kind of stupid base assumption of review that it has to prove the wrong call on the field is wrong. We need a common sense rule for review. Just watch the play and make the call that’s correct not even thinking about what the call on the field is.
  24. Maybe. I think Collaros a) doesn’t really have a guy he trusts on 50-50 balls aside from Ellingson b) isn’t trusting the pocket as he’s had a lot of them pushed into him, no time to follow through downfield. Also we’re forgetting the impact that the check downs to Harris made. That’s 50-70 yards a game we aren’t getting although we didn’t get them much last year either.
