Fox owns it so literally just in existence to fill Saturday-Sunday afternoon programming in spring. They are just playing in a couple cities I believe even though the teams are all belonging to different cities.

Think the limitation on that 6th OL spot is the requirement of someone to be the backup centre.

Nah. Richie Hall’s defense made this team a contender. The turnovers have been consistent since he joined. The D held us in every game while the O was hit or miss. And then with the right group of players the D was all-time dominant. Even in this game with some breakdowns there’s no win if the D doesn’t get a two and out to get the ball back under the 3 minute warning.

In Hall’s scheme all the DB’s need to be able to cover man whether in cover zero or one of the match zones where they are reading routes in combination. That’s kind of the gap for the Canadian DBs who played more of a rover type safety coming up. The safety in this system is basically a third halfback with more reads to make and more field to cover depending on the alignment of the offense. The younger Hallett mostly played half at McMaster. I would have thought he’d be a good fit for this system. Generally though there’s no reason why we need to have a Canadian DB on the field every down with the ratio set up the way it is. Play the best DBs we have.

Depends how much it costs. Don't think they are playing free concerts. Looked up their net revenue from last arena tour and it's about half a million take for a concert for them. If they sell 10,000 extra tickets and this cost them $100,000 it would be worth it. If it cost much more than that they'll be losing money on it. Guess hoping that people stick around for the game?

How much does this OneRepublic concert cost? And how can the Lions possibly sell enough tickets to make it worth that cost. The net for one of their arena concerts is basically half a million, this has to cost the Lions six figures.

Think the early start to the season is a dud. Go back to Canada Day weekend being the openers, have camp in June when there shouldn't be snow.

It’s illegal without targeting, a spear. That’s as much for protection of the tackler as anyone. But I disagree wasn’t targeted. Was a late move and left feet when 83 on way down to turf, led with head. Wouldn’t have changed the turnover but new rules now about 2 rough play penalties being an ejection, plus 15 yards. If they don’t call rough play penalties that rule is pointless.

Hard to tell with TSN angles but looked like Rose was on outside breaking route, Thompson on inside breaking route and Taylor covering a deep half. Issue was when Thompson came downhill at that route Taylor had flattened out and both he and Rose realized it too late with Acklin having a running start. The group clearly needs some time together to iron out communication. Also wonder if Rose maybe has his mind of making the big play a little too much and jumping at the first move to try to get the ball.

About 50% on the sneaks. Took two downs to get one yard, botched the goal-line play and had to bring Collaros back out to score the first TD. Not sure why Brown isn’t the guy running that stuff. If we’re going with Prukop think we should run something that’s more of an option set from pistol or shotgun. He looks really uncomfortable under center and doesn’t get low to run the wedge.

Have no idea why you wouldn't run Jefferson right up the middle on that last play. They aren't throwing out wide.

The whole piling on guys who are already on the turf with contact is an issue in general not just QB's especially with head shots. There was a brutal one on Oliviera on the TD drive earlier in the game.

In what scheme is the safety helping a corner outside the numbers? If Rose was leaving the inside breaking routes there'd be no issue. He's biting on them and getting beat downfield to the sideline.

Gotta ask again why the hell we didn't see a viable placekicker in camp. Mourtada obviously crap and American. Liegghio continued struggles. Gotta find an American placekicker who can hit 85-90%.

Safety isn't the problem. The corner biting on all the double moves is.

Yeah he's straight up and then tries to dive. The whole point of the wedge is to balance off the leverage of the OL and roll off that for a couple yards. Might want to run more of an option package for him if he's going to be our running QB.
