  1. Have to ask Steve Daniel but I'd guess that 2/3 times the team with the choice takes an end to get the advantage in the long quarter, 2nd or 4th. So yeah you see quite a few games with one team receiving both kickoffs in the 1/3 where one team doesn't take an end.
  2. See it a lot in Canadian football. Teams usually choose the wind for the 4th quarter if there is any.
  3. Each team gets a choice for a half. From initial coin toss the team that wins it can choose in first half or defer to second half. Choice is direction or ball. Teams usually choose the wind in the long quarters, 2nd and 4th, which was likely our choice tonight when it was ours, not sure 1st half or 2nd. Guessing Edmonton took the ball in the 2nd half to try to get on the board.
  4. Adams and Bailey are not making contested catches. Maybe time to rely on others more.
  5. So that's the standard? Burn the rulebook.
  6. Incredibly bad call. Textbook PI. DB does not play the ball and blows up the receiver so he can't make a play on the ball.
  7. Pretty damp out there. Harris is throwing crappy balls too.
  8. That's PI. 0 is face guarding.
  9. I don't like the long stretches we go without running because it knocks some of the physicality out of our OL. When we are ahead there's no reason to do anything but kick ass.
  10. Our short-yardage plays couldn't be more obvious pre-snap.
  11. Buck has got to move down the play sheet to beat these blitzes. Quick game is not a strength of Collaros, but time to work the middle of the field.
  12. Man, McKnight is getting the worst calls.
  13. What a patient play by Collaros.
  14. Should be 25-0 if not for unforced errors.
  15. That ball is two steps away from Adams when he turns and is contacted.
  16. I'd challenge that for PI. Adams is trying to work back to the ball and just gets plowed by the DB who is not playing the ball at all. Safety swoops under for the pick. Adams had no chance to get to that ball cause of PI.
  17. Run game just vanished for some reason.
  18. With the amount of 50-50 balls Bailey hauls in he might be a better fit with Fajardo.
  19. Not what I'm saying at all. The playcalling was trying to feature him in the quick passing game which does not suit Collaros at all. I would like to see McKnight given more than 2 routes to run if he's back in the lineup and I'd like to see a lot of them downfield.
  20. McKnight played in our worst games on O. Coincidence? Maybe. The playcalling has changed quite a bit and evolved into a more downfield attack suited to Collaros. Would be interesting to see how McKnight fits into that. In the games he played he was getting constant little bubble screens and hitches, nothing downfield.
  21. He didn't move the needle for Edmonton. We whooped them in 18 when he was featured, and as you say he's had success with Reilly. We'll see if he has a 20 foot catch radius because with Fajardo he'll need that.
  22. Or when he has a guy coming across the formation with 20 yards of space to the sideline and upfield and he throws a ball that makes the guy stop and turn to even have a chance to bring it in. Fajardo is great until you expect him to start making some throws. Now he/they have it in their heads that he is a legit QB and they are doing 40+ dropbacks a night, no movement, no designed runs, less scrambling. And he sucks.
  23. Only needed one playoff to win more games than Glenn.
  24. Which ones were the 50-50 balls? The ones 8 yards in front of the receiver, the ones thrown at their back heel or the ones that hit dirt 5 yards in front of anyone in green?
