Lapolice hasn't presided over a great O since 2002. Beyond all the greatness he needs out of his players to even put an average ball control O on the field he's needed exceptional special teams and defense in terms of field position and scoring. He's been lucky to have an absolute superstar in terms of performance and durability in Harris in his last stint here. If we went through all the ST and D scores direct and influenced by short fields in last 4 seasons a lot of shine would come off his resume. The fact that he ran away from Arbuckle and installed Nichols should end his tenure in Ottawa rapidly.

A big deficit for this team so far is kicking. Medlock was a weapon, now we're just hoping our kicking doesn't kill us. To me all the import receivers other than Lawler are fighting for their jobs. The DB in trail position has no bearing on whether the hit is clean or dirty. The hit is not late, which is what might bring that issue into play, say a guy is already under wraps and someone comes in late to belt him. Being "engaged" with another player is not a factor in the open field, defenders are still encouraged to rally to the ball and finish tackles, whether that's 1, 2 or 6 defenders.

Well that PI call directly led to 6 points where the margin was 7. So if you think that’s not PI it alone had a huge effect on the outcome. Yes if the Bombers played more than 5 minutes of that game it wouldn’t have been a loss. It comes down to a choice by the receiver to not make an attempt at the ball to protect his ribs. The ball was within his catch radius he just knew the safety was waiting. I suppose DBs are supposed to guess in a split second as to what the receiver is going to choose to do, but you have to wonder how it can be expected that they should guess the receiver will choose not to attack the ball when that is the entire point of the game.

Argos are killing Collaros with basically the same corner or half blitz from the field, just stick someone behind there, hot route. Instead he stares it down and throws it down the seam into a pile of Argos.

Buck’s gotta learn a lot from these last two games. Collaros is a cog, not a superstar. This game plan is putting way too much on his arm in the pocket.

Not sure why we love that all out run blitz, sure gives up a lot of big plays both run and pass on first down.
