Yes Lawler was on that corner and in good position with DB in chase on that play. Collaros had the Ticats WIL LB right in his grill of the snap. There's no way he can set his feet to make that throw. He couldn't even make the 10 yard toss to Oliviera while working away from that LB. The footwork there caused the throw to sail. The Play Should have thrown it away.

Everyone associated with that club is a loser. They could have put us and the Stamps away by the end of August...yet here we are. Can't win an important game no matter what time of year.
-
Lawler's only played 3 games and he has a ton of drops.

3 stars plus hh almost tigerclapped the bed

Well he's usually starting at 5... I didn't see many clean pockets there. Lots of huge plays off scrambles for what they made out of the passing game. Completely lost any ability to go vertical when Randolph went to tackle which was about the 5th play of the game. Worse when Eli came in and starting seeing the pocket collapse on both sides of the line regularly. Lots of throw aways to save some yards. Very easy to defend and not a whole lot different they could have done. Scrap out some runs, hope to hit something if you get in 2nd and long. Everyone in the stadium calling plays knew what the situation was, it's not like Hamilton was just going to do what their plan was. They knew their one edge was basically given a free run into the pocket, they dropped out 9 and just blanketed the field. Pretty scrappy to pull that one out. People say bring in Streveler....doesn't look like an option to me. He's really dinged up. He can barely function in short yardage. -
Here's from the rulebook, relevant clauses to the Wilson play: Incomplete Forward Pass: while in midair a receiver of either team who has firm control of the ball, but loses possession of the ball when that player's feet or other part of the body hits the ground, with or without contact by any opponent. Complete Forward Pass: When a receiver of either team, who is in the air and has complete control of the ball, has his feet or another part of his body hit the ground, the player must retain possession for the pass to be ruled complete, with or without contact by an opponent.

Yeah called a catch for White who never had the ball. That's where this whole "need to prove call on field was wrong" bit is so silly.
-
Based on Hamilton's game last week player safety doesn't seem like much of a concern. Edmonton LB clubs a receiver in side of head to KO him then spears the QB crown of helmet to facemask to put both guys in hospital. No flags, no calls from the CC to throw flag.
-
And if they can't make a call, get rid of them. This whole needing evidence to overturn an incorrect call on the field destroys the purpose of the review. Disregard the call on the field and make the right call based on the video.

In 2nd place, 1 point behind Sask who are 1-5-1 in their last 7.
-
I'm not sure why any coaches even challenge at this point. The league is telling them not to.
-
We 110% lose this game without him....probably quite badly. Our pass protection was non existent for over an entire half of this game and horrific from the first drive of the game.
-
Only debatable if he loses control of the ball while making that 180 move. Looked like he had it the whole time until the end of the reach on his way down to the ground....meaning his torso. His feet are already landed in full possession.
-
They'll never say but Streveler took a beating in his start and has looked like total crap since then. I'm not sure he's up to playing a bunch, like sure if Collaros goes down they'll take their chances running Streveler in the pocket but I don't think they want to feature him unnecessarily. Generally I do agree with you. Like not entire drives but come in for a short yardage play and stay in for 1st and 10.
-
Doesn't matter RE the ground in this particular play. He comes down facing his own endzone and turns to the other one to reach. That completes the catch before he's going to ground. Would like to know which ref waved it off. The side judge was spotting the ball.
-
Jones was god awful on D. Apparently needs someone to tell him where to be. Really poor effort on a lot of plays too, noticeably vs the run.
-
And who drove the field for the winning TD? OL was in total shambles once Wallace went out. Oliviera basically out for last 20 mins of game. Basically have no consistent reliable targets out there.
-
Man...24 with the headshots all through that drive.
-
He catches it and is reaching when he's already on ground. That's a catch.
-
Less and less field to work with. Go to endzone.
-
No use running now. Save the space for passes.
-
Clothesline. 15 yard penalty
-
At this point just get rid of the reviews completely.
-
Surprised they aren't challenging PI. That one is pretty clear.
-
Would like to see Whitehead at receiver over Johnson. But think we can go back to Case on returns.
-
They just called a catch on a play where the receiver never had possession of the ball.
