Hamilton running tons of max protect and quick game to get the ball out. Toronto's pass rush gone and haven't adjusted coverages. Hamilton's pass rush has picked up and MBT is hopeless without lots of time.

O'Shea is a pretty calm and collected guy but I'd be pretty afraid when he does see red. Both Dickenson's are weasels. -

Yeah but when he's busting off that 19 yard QB sneak he's inflicting more punishment than he's taking. Agree with 1 and 2. The hits to worry about are the ones in the pocket and when he's looking to pass, that's when he's going to get injured. -
Hamitlon so stupid with the late hits.

It's really hard to open up space downfield when the D knows we have no screen game and when we don't use misdirection to be deceptive as to what the route combinations are going to be.

Lawler, Whitehead, Grant. He's got a hard-on for Demski who lets us down more than anything. -
Honestly wonder based on the off-season. Ellingson and Walker turned us down.

Wonder what Rempel's injury is. I think the league needs to tighten up that rule to say that no one can be lined up over the snapper on kicking plays, but I'm not sure that hit was illegal based on the rule as is, would be illegal at any other level of Canadian football, can't touch the snapper until he moves forward to cover the kick. -

He didn't take much IMO, took a slide on one run even. Fajardo got hit a lot more and it's quite a bit different getting hit trying to throw vs getting hit running and primed for contact. -

Nobody tries to pass from the pocket as much as the Bombers with either QB, and the Bombers have the worst passing offense in the league. Could be a coincidence, but I think the scheme is a problem. -

True, Hecht is often a liability. I'm not sure that has an effect on Bighill, I mean there's no freelancing everyone has a responsibility each down, just see Bighill getting beat a lot or not getting to the ball as much as previously. Hecht certainly doesn't play in as much of a coverage role as Loffler did, Loffler would often end up covering on top of a slot route 1 on 1. I think Wilson for JSK is a wash. JSK had a couple huge games but also struggled a bit. -
Yeah if he gets sped up he's pretty awful. Hamilton has to figure out a pass rush, especially with 2 of their DB's gone.

Hamilton just puts another great returner on the field every week it feels like....cut our guy Grant before too.

Well and easier to tee off on Nichols because you don't have to defend the chance of him taking off. The chances of Augustine busting off that big run without the D freezing to make sure Streveler wasn't going to run around the right edge aren't very good. -
MBT is hot right now, especially when there's no pass rush.

Yeah we were down 5 minutes in TOP after the 1st Q and ended up winning the TOP by about 5 minutes by the end of the game. -

Watching teams like Hamilton and Calgary just move the ball at will no matter who is on the field at receiver, running back, OL, QB....but Lapo is a genius? Damn near every game we go on an extended run of 2 and outs, even the bad teams in the league don't do that. We've done that consistently over the last 3 seasons. -

I can't imagine Walters is very happy with our offensive output through 11 games, and I know people are going to quote PPG, but our D and teams have both scored and dominated field position most of the season. If they don't we don't score. They don't really have any excuse, we have all the players, even our backups are adequate. Don't need spectacular QBing, just a facilitator. -

It's not Nichols, it's Lapo. Although Nichols doesn't get the ball out very quick so he ends up checking the ball down almost routinely. Our scheme to beat a blitz is garbage...it's basically Harris, Harris or Harris. We need him to break 3-4 tackles starting behind our LOS, basically make a big play all the time. Saw some stuff in the 2nd half in Regina that was designed to get the ball out behind the blitz and it worked pretty good. Hopefully they keep some of that in mind even when Harris is back. -
I wonder if the replay official helps out with those scrums and ejections.

I think the Als and Tabbies might be happy that the Argos are basically out of the playoffs. They aren't as terrible as their record and could probably win a couple in November if they had a chance to get there.

The way the offense is designed the back is the safety valve, is the guy to beat the blitz. Augustine is neither the blocker or receiver to take that role, would like to see Petermann check in as an H-back type blocker on 2nd and longs. -

I think his accuracy is actually a strength. His mechanics on the deep ball are poor but his mid-range stuff (10-20 yards) is the best we've seen from a Bomber QB since Glenn. The deep ball is something that can improve. Our pass protection in Sask was terrible, Augustine has no idea who to take, our interior OL is struggling with Desjarlais and Hardrick is really struggling. Streveler hung in there despite that and came back from an awful first quarter. Streveler is pretty good on the move and good on the scramble. Our receivers need to work on the scrambles because we missed a few big opportunities there yesterday when Streveler extended plays for 7-8 seconds. Our protection scheme needs some work, need more max protect with 7 blockers and 2-3 guys in a route on one side of the field, get Streveler on the roll, if pass is there take it, if run is there take it. We ran very little RPO kind of looks and the ones we did were huge plays, the Lawler pass, the Augustine run. The thing about those option passing looks is that the D has to defend the back getting the ball, Streveler taking the ball and the pass, all you need is a slight hesitation and we have a ton of space opened up. The misdirection causes the D to cover the entire width of the field. When we use it we move the ball, when we don't use it, we suck. This is with any of our QB's. Lapo's insistence on straight dropbacks with 5-6 blockers is not going to work. And that's not on Streveler, you won't see BLM or Harris or Reilly or f-ing MBT running as many dropbacks as we had Streveler run. It's a scheme that doesn't work. -

Bighill is having an awful season. We're lucky to have a great interior DL because if anyone gets to our second level we are screwed. Our D was better without Bighill. I don't blame him, he's fighting through a very difficult injury and makes the odd play, like the INT that required a bit of savvy and athleticism to make that snag, but he's basically a non-factor between the whistles, he's not really making any plays near or behind the LOS. Obviously he provides leadership. Compared to last season it's day and night. Bighill made several plays at the end of games last season that preserved wins, he caused turnovers, and made plays in the backfield. We aren't getting much of that.
