  1. Won't have to mess up ratio. We had backup LB and DB last week as DI's. Can easily put Santiago on for one of them and pop on Dondre Wright for John Rush to chase kicks and backup secondary/WIL/SAM.
  2. Montreal still does not have owners. Expedited what? Nova Scotia is growing at a rate lower than the rest of Canada. This growth is largely based on immigration and the rate they are able to keep immigrants lags behind the rest of Canada too. People tend to spend a couple years and then leave for the GTA or Alberta. There's not a lot of opportunity. Their second biggest municipality is on the verge of bankruptcy and asking the provincial government for a bailout, which they are refusing. The HRM is not far behind. They've done a pretty good job of growing their tourism industry but there's not much else going on there. I have some ties in Cape Breton. Great place but extremely economically depressed, and Halifax not much better.
  3. Augustine can take some carries. We'll see if he's figured out pass protection and how to run a few routes. I think Demski needs to step up big time and will take some time in the backfield too. Santiago likely comes on for a DI DB/LB and Dondre Wright comes on for Rush to provide depth on D.
  4. Calgary replaced Flutie in 95 when he wrecked his elbow with Jeff Garcia who was arguably better haha.
  5. This is really sad. The amount Harris tested positive for is useless. He's been tested 3 times in 6 weeks from training camp to July 10. 2 tests no issue, one test with just enough of this steroid to trigger a positive. Most testing organizations would note that slight positive and punish after a second positive. Any benefit from a steroid would take a sustained dose over weeks at minimum that would easily be detected over the span of a couple months. Crazy to me that these guys are punished for one slight positive. Sucks for Harris, now learning a bit more about the CFL protocol for testing I feel really bad for the draft entrants getting screwed over. They shouldn't be getting punished on the first positive at this trace level. The CFLPA has some work to do.
  6. He's accurate when he's throwing to 20 yards of field. He's good on the scramble. He's a lot like Masoli IMO. Not scared of him in the pocket in the least. Priority should be keeping him in there and getting to him in there, rush has to be very disciplined.
  7. If I'm scheming for Fajardo I'm letting him have all day in the pocket (not blitzing LB's) and forcing him to be accurate downfield, dropping 8-9 in coverage most of the time. We can get pressure with 3-4. Sask is really relying on quick shots out to the flats to guys like Shaq Evans and Kyran Moore.
  8. 6 games between those teams, and 3 of those Toronto/Ottawa. Chance for one of them to make a run if they don't split. Edmonton and Calgary have tough schedules, could see one of them ending up at 7-8 wins.
  9. Argos and Lions really close to being out of the playoff race at Labour Day. Both 5 games out with 8 left to play.
  10. MBT throws a slant behind Edwards, Als win.
  11. MBT has no pocket awareness. Just awful.
  12. Rod Black just literally read Geno Lewis' dad's Wikipedia page but in a way that "he watched him play at Southern Alabama." Junie Lewis look it up!
  13. Thought it actually was a dig at the league for the Sask/Montreal fiasco.
  14. Very true. There are weekends when there is not an ER open on Cape Breton to facilitate the doctor having a couple days off. They can't justify giving a dollar to a stadium.
  15. The Halifax expansion is a bad idea for many reasons, but hearing the ownership group talking about playing in 2021 and "playing a couple seasons" in Moncton while a stadium is built in Nova Scotia is complete lunacy. They'll be bankrupt before they play a game in their stadium. Based on the crowds showing to these games they are likely to lose $10-15 million a season on operations in Moncton, plus the initial costs of starting up. There's truly no benefit to the league. Is TSN going to cough up a bunch of money because there's now a team in the coveted Atlantic TV market of half a million people?
  16. Think plan was for Lankford to kick that with all the guys onside.
  17. Fajardo hasn't done much.
  18. Thigpen brain fart. Guys been returning kicks for 10 years and doesn't know to let that ball sail into the endzone?
  19. Absolute must win for BC IMO if they want to make it a race for crossover. BC has 6 straight vs the East and they need to probably win 5 of them minimum.
  20. Next 3 vs Toronto and BC...Got 6 total left vs Toronto, BC and Montreal. 2nd in the East is within reach.
  21. Should be ejections coming here after the 3rd pick. McCray threw two bombs at McMillan.
  22. They let too much go right from the 1st quarter, and that's what happens, someone gets burned at a key time.
  23. Well if you saw the last two games you'd say he's pretty good at pass rushing.
  24. Cool watching the replay of the Streveler TD and how jacked guys like Whitehead and Lawler are, guys that are fairly new to the Bombers and didn't get the ball much but just pumped to contribute how they can.
  25. I think if Edmonton finishes 3rd or 4th in the West Harris could have 8000 yards passing and he shouldn't get any MOP votes for the league award, especially with how they are losing games so far by turning the ball over and not scoring TD's.
