  1. The scary part is not being able to sustain drives. Far too many 2 and outs. If they just got 2-3 first downs every drive they would have ended most drives last night in FG range and put up 42-45 points. Also need to cash in on that field position with a couple more TDs. The Bombers have the best starting field position in the league. Early in the season the offense capitalized on it. Starting in the BC loss they’ve really struggled to. The defense and special teams have the ability to be dominant and make big plays when the offense can just even be mildly functional.
  2. The only guy out is Draheim, and he’s pretty bad. Everyone on their depth chart is a veteran CFLer.
  3. The play wasn’t there that’s why he was scrambling. It was 2nd and 13. Wouldn’t have even been a first down if the receiver makes the catch on the turf. Everyone on the field knows where that ball is going at that point and it’s not going to a guy who is wide-open, it’s going to a guy who is stationary in a crowd which is basically get your receiver killed or throw a pick 101. It was a nice catch because Nichols threw it low but it wasn’t a great read by a DB, any DB would jump that. Throw it away kick the field goal, have a 27 point lead at that point, 4 possession game, game over. Nichols did a fairly good job of playing within the confines of not taking unnecessary risks. That was one.
  4. Don't win with excuses like that either. What a load of bullshit.
  5. We also have a quarterback who can't pass with any confidence so it's making most of our receivers pretty useless.
  6. Why is it sad that our Canadian receivers were the best on the field? I'd rather have Wolitarsky and Petermann's effort tonight than Williams.
  7. Rather have a Dookie Williams crying everytime he gets touched?
  8. Our D has barely given up a TD drive from Labour Day on. This didn't come out of nowhere.
  9. D has been great any game we've had an offense. The trend is pretty clear.
  10. Last 4 games- 250 yards passing against 205 yards passing against 234 yards passing against 192 yards passing against With lots of garbage time yards in the last two games. All 4 would have been easy wins with a functional offense. Last 2 were wins.
  11. Fogg is one of the greatest defensive players of this generation at turning the ball over. He's in the conversation for Bombers MODP. Nevis had a huge game. Took on many blocks that made space for LB's blitzing.
  12. If the season ended today we'd play Sask in the West Semi and have the 2nd and 3rd overall picks in the 2019 Draft.
  13. This has to be one of the most poorly quarterbacked games by two #1 QB's in a long time.
  14. This is pretty much the blueprint for this team to win against good teams with the offense.
  15. Doug Brown must not be sleeping with the newborn. Many brain farts.
  16. Why is it unnecessary? Pretty damn necessary if the guy catches the ball instead of dropping it. DB's don't have time to make sure on a bang bang play if the catch was made, coming up to make the hit/tackle.
  17. Check the scoreboard and where the ball is on the field. That was also a 50-50 ball and Alexander was right there in coverage.
  18. That was a good sequence to demonstrate our problem RE Lapo and Nichols. Lapo forces that run play to Dressler again and Edmonton's SAM reads it no problem. 2nd and extremely long. Then Nichols throws a ball he shouldn't and we leave points on the field.
  19. They need more drives. Other than that can live with the unspectacular play, just need more first downs and drives, and avoid turnovers like tonight so far.
  20. Glad Edmonton believes in guys like Boateng and Konar. Helps our offense, because they suck something awful, especially vs the run.
  21. That's a pass because it was a forward pass. If it's a hand-off it's a run.
